I'm not gay, not bisexual, but I have many gays and lesbians for friends, they are some of the greatest people I've ever known in my life and I support them completely.

No. I’ve had my share of debate-technique classes, and know this claim usually shows my opponents are being cornered and trying to dodge out of the argument by claiming they - themselves – are under attack.

Ok, I'm not going to lie and say this didn't make me smile, it did, in one of those 'I really shouldn't be allowing my mouth to turn up at the corners over this but I have no control over my facial muscles' kind of ways, but it was still completely unnecessary. You are all acting as bigotted as one another, regardless of whether you're for or against. I read these types of threads and I cringe sometimes y'know? Most of us here are intelligent enough not to allow shallow digs and low jibes into what we are saying, but every so often we kind of slip. Including me, yeah yeah....... And this is a prime example of that. Fiery Eyes may get on your nerves with the preaching etc, but you may get on hers just as much with the fact that you seem to disregard preachings full stop. It just makes me a little sad is all 😬

Pointing out the flaws in one persons thought process is not bigoted.

Saying a WHOLE group of people are bad and should go to hell for their "life activities" (I like that term) despite it not hurting anyone, and saying that these people shouldn't get married because of who they are, is indeed bigoted.

You're absolutely right. I'm glad everyone got a laugh out of it, however, that wasn't my point. My point is that you can only reiterate the same point so many times before everyone understands. I have nothing against Fiery Eyes. Nothing at all. I don't know her, and I seriously doubt that she is out there actively trying to keep me from having the same rights she does.

I'm glad I didn't offend you. I really enjoy this part of KMC, the discussions can be so awesome to participate in but every so often things get out of hand, which is the real shame.

So? What difference does that make? People still have a right to point out the faults in said opinion.

Opinions can be wrong.

Any opinion where a group of people are discriminated against by saying they should not have the same rights as everyone else is wrong.

The Skinheads opinion that all races except the white race are bad, is wrong. Hitlers opinion of all jews being bad, is wrong. BLah blah blah.

Of course everything I say is my opinion, I don't need people reminding me of that. I also know that everything you say is your opinion and so on, just because it's your opinion doesn't mean you can't be held responsible for it and shouldn't face challenges from people who don't support a discriminatory opinion.
