I was trying to calm things a little. I'd be the first to jump a throat if said throat got too outspoken, you of all people must know that by now. I simply felt a touch if sypathy for FE when CF ripped her apart.

But, by this logic, this thread should have never gotten to 15 plus pages. Then, it isn't a discussion, it's a statement of opinions. The result of a discussion should be the conclusions reached by those having the conversation. And the conclusion can be the same or different from when you started having the conversation. Now, FE has stated the same position over and over again: "Homosexuality is wrong because god says so" AND "I can say this because of freedom of speech." FINE! You have shared your position on the matter. Either add to your own statements, or change your position due to something relevant you have discovered over the course of the conversation.

I don't think FE needs sympathy, she can defend herself, she regularly does against all sorts of folk here who challenge her.

I think you've missed out on a couple of important pages of debate Eol Moriedhel... Its not that simple. You dont choose what attracts you... if you did like the idea of another man's.... in you... on you...whatever, you dont choose that. If you "chose" to be straight, but were still loving the thought of wieners you would be what is called a closet homosexual. You may choose to live a gay life style, but you dont get to choose what sex you are attracted to. Its fairly complex... if it were simply just choosing to be gay we probably know that it was by choice by now. But not one gay person in this thread has said that they chose to be gay, if anything they lean towards genetics...

There is no way in hell you choose to be gay. If you like guys you like guys thats all there is to it. I don't really know anything about science so I'm not going to comment on chemical imbalances or 'gay genes', but I think i know some things about homosexuality. You see, my best friend came out to me last summer, he moved up to Rhode Island but we still talk on aim so i guess he wasn't as nervous to tell me over the net. He told me that he has been gay since he can remember, that even when he was like 5 he used to be gay so I don't know. I used to be somewhat anti-gay but I wasn't a real 'homophobe', I was just sort of opposed to it.

But now I realize it's not anything to worry about. I'm not going to let it ruin a friendship. Me and my dad also just moved, and it just so happens that we moved across the street from a gay bar :-/ So I guess you could say I've been exposed to 'gay culture' lately.

I asked my friend what his opinion on it was, and he said that he doesn't even know. But I really don't think that he chose it. He is from an old fashioned Portuguese family and he goes to a school full of wanna be gangsters, so he takes a lot of crap for being gay. I don't think anyone would put themselves through that much extra stress purposely.

If you like a girl you like the a girl and if you are a boy you like a girl that seens normal to me and it is your choice if you like someone else or not.
It is nothering to do with actly being born gay it is your choice your own thoughts.I don't see why you think people are born gay it is impossible it is a choice not gentic.
