But to tell you people the truth... Sometimes it gets really annoying for a gay guy to go for a straight person.. don't you think? I just hate gays because of that.. if they pick their own kind, I might probably wouldn't care..
Gay guy to go for a straight person. Unlikely. I've never seen it happen. Usual it was in jest. And I wouldn't be talking since the straight guys LOVE to see lesbians together. How do you think they feel? And straight women are very guilty of hitting on gay men. They think its a challenge to "convert" them or something.

I mean, it can't be chosen, I don't think that most people would choice to be different from everyone else and get the crap that they give out! And yes, in the bible it says that their should be no homosexuality and everything, but it also says that god made us the way we are today! You would have to do a lot of screwing and mucking around to change yourself completely! So if God made us the way we are, he must of made some people Gay! First, how often does a heterosexual man consider the sexuality of a woman he is interested in before he approaches her? Almost never; he assumes that she is heterosexual and approaches her without ever considering that she may be a lesbian.
Second, how would you suggest that homosexuals "pick their own kind"? It is not as if there is a way to visually identify sexuality.

I've known straight guys that have slept with gay guys that pursued them. But it was after a long time of trying to get them in the bed. BUT, on the other side, I have had supposedly straight guys put the moves on me. The difference is, that the straight guy that slept with my friend decided to do it out of curiosity. The supposedly straight guys that hit on me did it because they are really gay, but live in the closet.

This would only incite such a reaction if you were uncomfortable with gays in general. Or you had a problem with a compliment. Now, the friend of mine that I mentioned in my first post actually tried. Me personally, even if I get the feeling that a guy is gay but in the closet, I wouldn't waste my time. So, in some respect I can agree with you. But my reasons are selfish. I don't have the interest in bringing someone out of the closet. It just doesn't interest me. Some people need that kind of goal. I don't want to deal with the consequences of being the one to bring someone out of the closet. There's so much drama involved in the long run.

You aren't born with sexual tendancies, no. But, just like most babies are born with no hair or blue eyes, these things change as they get older. I had white blonde hair when I was a baby...in fact until I was 11 or 12...but now I have dark blonde/dirty blonde hair. And my eyes have gotten slightly darker. That doesn't mean I chose for my hair to get darker...it was simply my genetic make up that caused it to happen.

Yes but you covered my point in the first line. You don't have sexual tendancies when born. That's all I was saying. Also, while tendancies change as you get older, I think that would be more down to surroundings and environment, and of course choice than it would be down to genetics.

And you're misconstruding my point. My hair was always going to be dark blonde. It simply wasn't when I was a baby. But that doesn't mean that my genes didn't know whene they were going to fire up and turn my hair dark blonde. Were you born with pubic hair? I wasn't. But that doesn't mean that I wasn't going to grow it at some point in my life. What color is your pubic hair? Did you choose for it to be that color?(don't really answer that question) And the tendancies that change as you get older have nothing to do with choice...at least not as they are relevantr to this question. You might decide you don't like GI Joe anymore, but rather X-Men (that was me) BUT that doesn't mean that you can choose what color your natural hair color will be, or the color of your eyes, or the gender you are attracted to. Please tell me you understand what I'm saying.

Genetics are determined from birth. If homosexuality is in anyway genetic, it would be determined to some degree also.
How can I explain this coz it's a bit of an extreme but fair theory:
Let's say you, from birth, were locked away completely, no human contact besides your parents. No viewing of any humans besides your parents. You could theoretically grow up without having any sexual preference at all. Therefore I believe, as stated, that it's down to situation, surroundings and influence. Locked away or not, your hair, eyes and anything else inherited from parents, is always gonna manifest.

^^ that post is just a contradiction after contradiction.
It cannot be changed, simply because one of the reasons for homosexuality is the imbalance of the male/female hormones - its not a specific gene we're or anyone else is looking for.
