The only point I was trying ot make is I'm sure there are plenty more recent scans that display his speed are there not?

well some of his best speed and reflex fighting doesnt always have after images nor blurs to depict his speed. sometimes its just stated by the characters or narration.
the art style is just that art style it doesnt matter if it a splash page or a blur effect to depict the characters powerset. its how the character deals with the character and how well he does that establishes his speed/reflex and combat style.
ppl who cry my character wasnt trying his best b/c he didnt leave after images like he does with other artist and titles doesnt mean squat.
two similar speed characters wouldnt leave after images to one another if they are equal or close it is just dynamic art that people confuse with powerset.
It's just kind of stupid to do.
The fact that it's from over two decades ago only goes to exaggerate the point we're making about Tooth's speed...
If he was already faster than Blade before numerous upgrades.. well.....

There's just little need to use them since Blade can't be proven to be faster than Wolverine by ANY margin but Sabretooth can... before his upgrades. It's not something worth dismissal.

just to further make the point during this time Logan was depicted close to spiderman level speed.
so that makes Sabretooth speed just as if not more impressive that he can fight logan at that level early in his career.
see here we are establishing a characters consistent speed depiction and making a logical and informed decision.
