yeah, im assuming it is something like that. However, The only problem I see with this is that it "seems" like a special power from the outside source (devil fruit), but we know he does not have any such power, unless its from one of the swords....I just realized, I am trying to make sense of...One Piece, there is no logic in One Piece lol, ok consider the topic dropped

Are there really a big 3 anymore? One piece seems to be in a league of it's own.

The big three are Sanji, Zoro and Luffy 131

For awhile he's done a thing where his fighting spirit sorta manifests around him with certain moves, it just got to physical levels.

And he is said to have the 'power of destruction'.

Lesse, so you've seen the Croc stuff, the first major villain who not only didn't need to exploit Luffy's weaknesses to even the score, but needed his weakness exploited to give Luffy a chance.

Not only has Crocodile mastered his fruit beyond Smoker (Croc reverts to his element upon reflex of being hit, that requires mastery of your Logia), but Smoker was handled pretty easily by Boa if I recall right, a fellow Shichibukai.

And in Alabasta, a desert kingdom, Crocodile would be almost invincible.

Smoker's pretty awesome, but I would rate Croc higher in offense and overall.

Luffy's pretty poorly suited to facing Logia users in general.

I wonder if there's a water type logia, that would be weird, maybe Dragon should have that...

The anime did have a 'clear water-like (but not water) fluid logia.'

I'm guessing Oda vetoed a water logia existing.

Though something like a rain paramecia might exist.

I wonder why logia users have to be in the marines or pirates, they would prolly be better off in business, Smoker's smoked ham lol...

Roger was explicitly stated to not have a DF I believe.

Enel was a Logia and he was not a pirate or marine, he was a god. 131

I thought Boa was using Haki to smack down Smoker during that. I do remember when Luffy first ran into him he couldn't hit the guy.

And Eneru was insane, but I'm never gonna forget the look on his face when Luffy told him to GTFO. 😆
