Good for you, I skimmed most of the beginning, I read the description for each episode and only watched if something cool was gonna happen like the intro of a new member or a nice fight...
I only started watching in earnest maybe at the start of the Arabasta arc and even then I skipped some episodes, too tedious, but I would definitely watch all had I had the time...

i don't know how one becomes yonkou but Blackbeard should proclaim himself as one, and yeah, he should get a ship first though...
I think the process is: First, you name yourself one.
Second, you're still alive in a year and the other yonkou and navy take you seriously.
Remember how the Orangutan guy was claiming he'd take the new Shichibukai spot? I think similarly there'll be a lot of pretenders... though, come to think of it, likely not as many because the true fools are generally gone pretty fast in the New World.

Ah, you missed some really great stuff, the Arlong arc was awesome, and so was the restaurant arc.
Arabasta had pacing issues.

I've finally decided to start watching this show, starting from the beginning. Boy, I got a long ways to go. I hope it's good enough to keep me interested, though.
The beginning is REALLY slow, so don't count on just that to get interested, the series start to become really good later on -although I haven't seen much animation to be fair.

Shuhicbukai sucks anyway. mihawk is the only worthy one of them.
so i have a prediction for the end of one piece. The treasure is going to be "one piece" of gold, or some piece of something special, or sentimental or something. Luffy will find this, and everyone will be all complaining cuz it's not anything amazing, but luffy will wear the item, or whatever, with pride as proof he is the pirate king.
Im sure lots of people have predicted something like that, but it just hit me the other day, the treasure's name is ONE PIECE....so yeah
"Lmfao. Oda never said he can move at the speed of light. He stated that he is the LIGHT MAN. What does that gotta do with movement speed? It means his body is made of light and he can shoot BEAMS. So your saying if Oda said he can Fight as light, how does he fight? Light can't damage your body. Ever tried pointing Light at yourself? Lmfao. His body is made of light and he can shoot BEAMS. and travel at the speed of BEAMS. Not Light. "
