Merchant gold is shit in this game, its the only problem....you can have an item worth 10k and not be able to sell it cause the highest merchant has like 6k...

I got a mod that increases merchant gold with your mercantile skill. Otherwise if you want to sell something, go to Hawkhaven, I think the merchant has 60k or something..

how did you find a merchant /w 6k? the highest one is 2k if you buy the wizard tower thing, but if u don't buy it, the highest is 1.5k....

I dunno, it was probably after I got the mod...I havent played in ages.

lol. i know if ur merchantile skill is high enough, u can somehow add 800 gold to them, but i never figured out how to do that :[

I think you have to get it to full rank, every rank increases by so much, then once you become master at it, it increases by more.

Shivering Isles Cast Chill Over Oblivion
Official expansion confirmed for Xbox 360 and PC.
by Rob Burman, IGN UK

UK, January 18, 2007 - Is it us or is there a nasty chill in the air at the moment? Perhaps the UK is mimicking Bethesda's newly announced expansion pack for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and has also become the Shivering Isles.

Thankfully though, despite the awful weather, we don't currently play host to Sheogorath, the Daedric Prince of Madness. He's the rather terrifying-sounding star of the Shivering Isles expansion, which is set for release on Xbox 360 and PC this spring.

Promising more than 30 hours of new gameplay and featuring an entirely new part of the Oblivion world, Bethesda revealed that "The Shivering Isles features a bizarre landscape split between the two sides - Mania and Dementia - filled with vast, twisting dungeons mirroring the roots of the trees they are buried within. You'll encounter more than a dozen new creatures including hideous insects, Flesh Atronachs, skeletal Shambles, amphibious Grummites. Throughout your adventure, you will discover all new items, ingredients, spells, and more, and have the talented craftsmen of Crucible and Bliss forge new armour and weapons just for you."

According to Bethesda, the new territory will be approximately one fourth the size of Cyrodiil, the sprawling province where Oblivion's events unfolded. After purchasing the expansion, your existing or newly created characters will be able to travel to and from the Shivering Isles at any time.

Vlatko Andonov, president of Bethesda Softworks said: "The enthusiastic response we've received to our downloadable content has been overwhelming, and we're excited to bring Oblivion fans a full expansion. The world we've created for Shivering Isles is unlike anything you've seen or played in Oblivion and we can't wait for folks to play it."

Xbox 360 owners can download the expansion pack from Live's Marketplace while PC fans will need to pick it up from retail outlets. Where's the justice?

Looking sweetw00t

well i play the 360 version so i guess no hawkthorn for me.

Thats nothing new but what I like is you can forge your own weapons in the new expansion now which is awesome. 😄

that is awesome

So let me get this straight. How many expansions have been released thus far? 2 right? for both PC and Xbox360?

God it's a pain selling a bunch of items at once when you have like 66 of the same item and you have to sell them one at a time. Ugh.

So is there anybody who hasn't seen everthing there is to see in this game yet?

They're coming out with these expansions and I still haven't even been to all of the cities yet. It's like content overload for me.

What level are your characters anyway?

Anata wa wakarimasu ka.....

lvl 25 or 26, but he can solo planes of oblivion so its kinda easy hence boring (yes Ive put it on max difficulty).

What does "He can solo planes of oblivion" mean?

If it's a spoiler or something I'll find out later then nevermind my question.

You haven't been in Oblivion yet? It's like the first quest....

Oh ok. I see. I did go in one gate, but I couldn't get past a certain point, so I just went back to a previous save before I entered and decided I'll go back to it later. So I haven't touched the main quest yet.

I'll do that soon enough.

yeah its pretty hard the first time through, my guy can go through oblivion gates pretty easy but i dont really like them so i dont really do them. ive only done like 2. is there something special you get for doing all the gates?

The gates pop up at random, the only way to stop them is doing the main quest. You cant really do all the gates, if you close one that isnt on the main quest, another one will just open another time.

they're not random, theres just a shitload of them. i thought there were only supposed to be 16 at the start of the game. i remember something about there being 16 princes that you had to kill.

I actually haven't seen any other Oblivion Gates besides the first one that you come up to when you do the main quest.

Also, another thing that's been bugging me. When I first attempted the first Oblivion Gate, I think I remember walking right through it/past it and there was a door behind it to the burned city where I'm thinking I was suppose to go first to find the prince, but I thought that I was suppose to go in the gate to find him, so I really don't know. I was just attempting ot walk in the gate and then I kept going and there was the door to the town.

shrug

My Strategy Guide lists about 23 of them, theres even more they havent included.

You can enter each gate and explore the red world on the other side, and then close the gate much as you did in Kvatch.
But you cant close it for good. There is alwasya chance that, when you reenter that region, the gate will rematierialze - again linking to a random Oblivion world when you enter it.

In other words, you cant close down the random gates completely.

The gates wont go away entirely until you complete "Light the Dragonfires!"

So you can go for your life trying to close them, they'll still come back.
