The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion

The gates are good for finding really rare and good items that you can't find anywhere else in the game ex. the best bow and arrows in the game dunno what their called.

thats pretty shitty that you cant close them.

and you have to click on the gate to enter it inner, you just walked through it physically, you didnt enter the portal.

Yes, I know this. Upon first coming to the gate I thought I just would walk in, but I walked past and saw a door, so I walked back and clicked on the gate to enter it.

I did enter the gate and didn't enter the door behind it.

I know this.

Also, another thing that's been bugging me. When I first attempted the first Oblivion Gate, I think I remember walking right through it/past it and there was a door behind it to the burned city where I'm thinking I was suppose to go first to find the prince, but I thought that I was suppose to go in the gate to find him, so I really don't know. I was just attempting ot walk in the gate and then I kept going and there was the door to the town.

Yeah, now that I read it, I see I didn't explain very well what I actually ended up doing.

Oh yeah! I've joined the Fighters Guild and Theives Guild. I was going to wait to finish with the Mage's Guild quests but I decided to just do them as I come to them and it's QUEST OVERLOAD now. So overwhelming.

Don't know when I'll join the Darkbrotherhood though. Maybe after the town that I'm in.

yeah it can get pretty crazy, i got to the point where i just had to stop and systematically go through them all because i had so many unfinished quests.

the dark brotherhood for me are by far the best ones. ive definitely had the most fun doing those quests, they're better than any mage, thieves or fighters guild quests ive done so far.

So you're still actively playing the game? When did you get it? Do you have XBOX Live and if so have you downloaded any of the added content?

I finally beat this game! The last achievement was a pain but you gatta have perfect time, very good game 10/10 graphics.

You can still go around and search for dungeons and keep playing right?

yup, i got it around the end of november. no i dont have live, the update they have for it disables the item duplication glitch so i dont want it anywyas.

Wow. Really?

What is the update? And how do you know it disables it?

So you're not going to download the extra areas and characters and stuff and expansions?

anata wa wakarimasu ka.....

probably not. im probably not going to get live either. im more of the in the room co op type of player, plus i dont need to be spending any more time than i am playing video games.

how many hours have you put in so far? whats your level?

Level 10.

Not sure about the hours. I'll take a guess and say 13 or around there but I'll check this weekend and report back.

Wow. Whenever I get live I definitely want to download the extra areas and races and quests and stuff, but it's going to suck not to have the cheat anymore.

im pretty sure you have to pay for the expansion packs through live. i probably wont be finishing the entire regular game so im not gonna get too worried about missing out on the extra shit anyways.

13 hours and 10 levels? thats pretty good. are you getting a lot of stat multipliers though?

Well I know for some time they were allowing people to get the first expansion for free for a limited time. Don't know if that's over yet though.

What exactly are Stat Multipliers?

Hey, sorry this is a little random, but I was thinking about getting a 360 in the coming months to compliment my Wii, and this game is slightly interesting to me. The catch is that I absolutely HATED the xbox elder scrolls game, but this one seems to be far far better. Anyways, anyone wanna gimme a little lowdown on this game? I'm interested in peoples opinions that are not written by paid, usually bias, and or fanboy video game journalists.

I'll try my best to inform you of this game.

I didn't play the first one though so I can't compare.

In this game there are a bajilion and one things that you can do and that's even before you touch the main course.

There are many guilds to join and many different people to interact with and the expansions that are available and will be available for download in Xbox Live provide new content, quests, areas, races so yeah you will be playing this game for YEARS.

You have a horse to ride to explore the lands and find dungeons to scourage.

Many of magic spells. Nice Create A Character System that's very detailed and at the same time I found it kind of limited but it still gets the job done or you can just choose the random option and a character can be made for you.

You have a number of races to choose from to make your character.

Grahpics are gorgeous, even if you don't have High Definition.

Upon first playing this game I was into the first opening scripted act and then once I was on my own, I didn't know what to do and was completely turned off but I gave it a chance and now I'm addicited and it's all I play when I get a chance to play my games.

There are many towns to go to. Many dungeons to discover. Many people to befriend and fight and quest with. Many weapons.

This game is just so good all around.

Humm, cool. And sorry bout the double post, I dunno what happened there 😕

Anyways, if I do get a 360 then maybe I'll rent this game, see how it is. It looks interesting at any rate and I've only ever heard good things...so..yea..

what didnt you like about morrowind? ive played both so i can tell you if its still going on in this one.

its basically the same game, just improved. it took all the goods things and made them better and came up with some new good things as well.
