Stellan Skarsgård Joins Thor Cast

http://www.superherohype.com/news/thornews.php?id=8746

So Alexander Skarsgård doesn't make the cut as Thor, but his dad Stellan Skarsgård gets a role? Interesting...both he and Colm Feore have mystery roles in this.
Maybe they should reconsider Alexander, and cast him as Heimdall. Seems to have the height.

stellan is a very talented actor.. i have no idea who he is playing, but i do hope is a very good role

This will be the best Avengers movie.

While DC struggles to find the way to do Superman right in the movies, this is the chance for Marvel to steal their thunder(literally 😆 )and show how a herald-level character kicks ass!

So? It's it's true, why are you perturbed?
Outside of the ruling class, the common men of Asgard are hard core in a way Hell's Angels only dream of being. Gods of the Vikings are hard motherf**kers. Their perfect heaven in Valhalla is to spend every day fighting and killing - then they heal up and eat at the feast, get up the next day and do it again. You cast appropriately.

Think they can find a lot of these guys in Australia?
(I think so...)

Well it happens with some things when you copy and paste stuff that have an ': S' together.

I hate when that happens too.

I gotta say, I usually try to stay neutral on things until I get my hands on them but I am getting excited about this movie.

So Dominic Cooper, Jude Law & Robert DeNiro could be The Warriors Three?
Would DeNiro play Hogun The Grim? Or put on a fat suit and be Volstagg?
(Imagine Jude Law as Volstagg... 😄 )

Me too. It's a few months before shooting starts, but I'm feeling a tingle of excitement these days. Maybe it's with Thor & Asgard playing such a central role in the end of Dark Reign. 💃 💃

Them Robert De Niro and Jude Law rumors are false

THOR

The Jude Law and Robert De Niro casting rumors from a while back are false. Gossip Cop asked representatives for Law about the rumor and got a flat, "not true." And De Niro? "Gossip Cop checked around, and as far as we can tell, De Niro won’t be doing 'Thor' either," according to the site

Fine. DeNiro was a stretch anyway.

A couple more months before the cameras officially roll. As much as I want to be attached to Chris Hemsworth playing Thor, I remember what happened ten years earlier when we knew Dougray Scott was playing Wolverine - only to be sidelined because MI:2 went over schedule, and we had to wonder: who is this Hugh Jackman guy, taking over the role? (But it certainly worked out.)
So until they are midway through shooting, I'm trying not to get caught up in the hype.

What happened to Brian Blessed as Odin? Did he have to drop out?

Did the studio want a bigger name or two added to the cast?

...Or was Blessed cast as Volstagg, the whole time?
