i am a fan of idria elba so i hope this works

I have NO issues with different ethnicities playing different ethnicities. For example, M.C.D. was the only sensible casting choice for Kingpin.

However, there are no black characters in Thor because most Asgardians are white. Heimdall is a huge, white Asgardian and there are many people who resemble him. It's not like he is unrealistically big, like Kingpin.

Perhaps they want to show Asgard is not just home to different races of beings, but is more multicultural when it comes to the Gods.

Well he is 7'2 but I get what you mean. Has anyone read the script and seen what kind of role Heimdall has in the movie?

Well, no...I doubt anyone here has the clout to read the script ahead of time. 😄

As who? Maybe a young Amora (but I don't see her with blond hair), or a young Karnilla?
With the amount of major casting news lately, I'm getting reminded just how big a supporting cast Thor has. But this plays to Kenneth Branagh's strengths, working with large casts for his Shakespeare projects.
Only character I haven't heard casting news about yet, is Balder.

There's speculation on IMDB that she's going to play Hela. 😈

Can even look at this movie sort of like LOTR's that too had alot of big a supporting cast.

Jeremy Renner may make a cameo as Hawkeye!

Ummm...intresting.

I assume he'd be tagging alongside Nick Fury, if he appears. I don't think the movie is in danger of getting overstuffed with characters, yet.

Yeah, we dont need another Wolverine again...

I think we can say that Marvel's vision of their avengers team up will be far superior than Fox's Wolverine Gang of lame-ness.
