I'm not really peeved at Heimdall's actor being black; I think it's an odd choice, but so long as the performance is decent, I won't mind. But trying to make Thor more science fiction than fantasy is just stupid. The whole point the Avengers have such a great dynamic is because the Big Three each represent a part of a whole. They have a chance to make the first epic fantasy/superhero movie, on scale with Lord of the Rings in terms of scope. I won't mind if people like Stark and other scientists try to make a rational explanation for Thor and why he can do the things he can, but his divinity shouldn't be cast in doubt.

"Thor more science fiction than fantasy is just stupid". This part hasnt even sunk in for me yet and I prob wont be happy.

Yeah i know they're only doing it just to make it believable to non-comic readers

but i'm hoping the movie is still gonna be good unlike the Fantastic Four movies which also used Ultimate universe.

We don't know what they mean with the science angle with Thor.
If they are going by Ultimates, then all this will mean is a subplot whereby the authorities and the science community will be skeptical of Thor's assertion of godhood and being the son of Odin, until events happen that prove he is who he says.
