Master Chief vs Samus Aran

Ah! Thanks for the info, seems a bit odd that MC could be expected to throw the thing further than the length of a football field though. Still if its in the game its in the game. Nice to see some points in MCs favor now.

Ah, but the most common form of usable energy is electricity. A mechanical bio-suit would run off of electricity simply because it's easy and efficient. This should also be obvious, as you fill Samus ENERGY tanks with static balls of ENERGY.

What would you expect mechanical suits to run off of? Carrots?

The MC's shields protect him from the EMP. No-brainer. If he was without shields, he'd have to reboot his entire suit.

He could just set the timer on the fury nuke to say, 10 sec, hurl the ball the length of a football field at Samus, and start running in the opposite direction. BOOM.

As we've seen from Echoes, rebooting a Bio-suit is apparently not that difficult. 5 seconds, tops. If it can happen to Samus, why should Chief be any different?

As for the rest of the energy argument, unless there has been a LOT of micro-sizing of technologies in those less than 500 years, it's going to be very difficult to integrate a fusion reactor into a bodysuit. And what do you do with the waste produced?

True, we don't know what kind of energy that these suits run off of, but seeing as how they (Samus', at least) are integrated into the nervous system, and the human nervous system uses electrical impulses, it seemed to be the obvious answer.

Metroid Fusion pretty much states how Samus' suit is working because it is integrated into her nervous system that would pretty much make her suit her own kenetic energy. So that would mean that Samus wouldn't need an additional power supply for her suit, which gives her an advantage over M.C.

However, that means emp's could possibly kill her, whereas, the shield would protect MC, and even if they did get short-circuited, which I am still standing firm on they dont use Electricity (And BTW, Fusion Reactors dont have to be the size of the Moon)

lol.. as far as I know.. there is no 100% foolproof against EMPs damaging electrical systems of any kind. Then again, thats the problem with science fiction.. I can just make up some silly word and say its a machine that creates world peace.. -__-

and EMPs cannot kill people.. ever.. (unless they have a pacemaker or are on life support.. which I dont believe samus is on either)

Correct. Disable electronic systems yes. Kill people... no.

And it's not like disabling one gives to other an automatic kill. It just is not that big a problem.

Ah....but the EMP comes with the Fury tac-nuke...it just doesn't land and go with a large EMP, and nothing else. The EMP would go first, cause her to reboot some segments of her suit, while then the explosion comes! Duhn-Duhn-Duuuuuuuhn.

explosions / emp's would have been the first concern of the war masters known as the chozo during the construction of their gift to the hatchling on her journey to keep the peace among the galaxy

As I stated before, rebooting the suit takes all of five seconds. And even though it would heavily damage the suit (most likely), a single explosion short of a starship power core would not kill a fully-energized Samus in one go. Remember, the purpose of the suit is DEFENSE.

but there exist a gigantic contradiction in your idea. What about the electrical enemies in metroid prime that when they hurt samus they disabled part of the suit temporarily? so the Chozo obviously didnt make it as fool-proof as you said. I think your giving Samus and the Chozo a little tooooo much credit.

I agree.... Kaliero said that a starship core overload wouldn't kill her. Get serious. I mean, the Pillar of Autumn's engine blew Halo up! What makes you think that a woman in a suit of armor isn't? It was (consulting The Flood) almost a hundred million degrees celsius. Honestly, the only people I think that would survive destruction of that magnitude are the guys from DBZ! You'd better rethink that statement.

And you think 5 seconds is short enough to escape a megaton explosion, when she reboots?

AI:"Beam and missle upgrades onlin-"
"Cut the chatter already!"
4.....
"Oh, hell-"

KABOOOOOM

I was referring to the fact that 1499 points of protective energy is quite a bit to plow through for anything.

and of course everyone completely disregards my piece against satsujin.

If you feel the need to be argued against, all you have to do is ask.

Exactly which enemies would these be? The Sentry Drones? Those didn't disable the suit, the visor just blurred with the extra shielding created to stop the bulletfire.

Or the Bombus? Those just interfered with the visor if you got too close, they didn't disable anything.

this is getting confusing

(im still wit MC)
