I know that, but notice how I said 100 million degrees. Even if her Grav and Varia suit capabilities protected her from lava (1550 degrees Celcius) but she will as sure as hell not be able to stand a fusion core reactor explosion, a hundred million degrees celsius. She would fry.

You really do give Samus's current technologies too much credit.

heh.. samus does not recieve blast area damage from any of her weapons, thus she could fire as close as she wanted to up in chiefs grill. It doesnt even matter if I say these things or not, because everyone is just gonna go :
"well chief has thermo super specular radio chronological aura shield that can deflect god.. and samus is just a woman"... so whatever..

😐

He has a shield, one that goes away very quickly, and I'm not saying otherwise. I'm not saying that Samus is a woman. I am saying she isn't perfect, nor is Master Chief. Sow whatever...

I dont know how you can ever truly compare them.

master chief lives in a war torn age of human history. He fights using using ballistic weaponry, and rudementary plasma weaponry, and chemical explosives. his strength is massive, he's 7-8 feet tall, and he can survive getting hit with a archer missle.

Samus is( a women(rofl)) who uses highly advanced lazer weaponry and missles that seemingly appear off enemy corpses(so she launches body parts actually), can roll into a tiny ball, release bombs that cause skin rash and bombs that can kill a couple meter radius(prime) or can kill a whole screen(side scroller). She has different vision modes, and 4 different weapons. also has an ungoldy amount of health, due to seemingly random health boosters.

Both can jump extremely long distances and seemingly float when they jump. Both are physically augmented(the chief more...comprared to samus I shall say...primitavely).

advantages.
Master Chief: He's The Master Chief, HOW CAN THAT NOT BE AN ADVANTAGE!!
he also pwns in Multiplayer death matches.(unlike samus)

He's a cyborg who can crush faces in with his hand, fight entire armies, has a super intelligent AI in his head, melee attacks, AI allies, a better controller, and..wait for it....

HE DRIVES A FREAKIN TANK!!! YAH!!

Samus: Can roll into a ball, has visors, Imbuned with the ancient power of the Chozo(....ROFL ha I just had to say that after hearing satsujin say it so many times), Has a seemingly infinite health amount., lots and lots of missles, and a really big swiss army knife gun on her arm. also has an urban dictionary in her suit to log and findings she sees with a scan visor....

Okay, how is Samus being SAMUS not an advantage then? I'm afraid that Samus has a much larger fanbase, especially in Japan.

And while the Multiplayer in Echoes is only rudimentary, Samus herself kicks ass in it. Or "pwns" as you say it.

Weapons that pretty much guarantee a kill: Annihilator Beam, Power Bomb (this totally guanatees death if you zoom in there with a Boost and lay a Pbomb on your way out), Death Ball, Morph Ball Cannon (yes, if you hit someone with this, their death is instant), and the Space Pirate turret on one of the maps (one shot = 2/3 damage)

And you forgot another Advantage for Samus: She's got a strong series behind her, and she's managed to blow two planets to space dust.

No.. the suit has been created from the knowledge and technology of the war-mastered chozo (which since you worded it totally wrong.. lacked humor). She gets extra ammo because when an enemy dies its sortof their biological microbes that her suit converts to energy (either that or they wanted to keep it old school NES style.. cant be too sure on that). About the gun : like I said.. thats chozo technology.. she just does a different hand configuration within the suits cannon chamber to change the beam type. The log findings are obviously an accumulation of information throughout her vast exploits of being a bounty hunter for so long, which also includes the language of the chozo. if you think about it.. the chozo are pretty damn powerful to keep predicting she will need to utilize suit upgrades for every game eh.. 😉

*cough cough* God-modding*cough**

Robo's right, the Chief can jump onto a Wraith, beat the driver's face to a pulp and take the controls. The first time I did that, I was like, "Whoooaaa." While Samus has this almost cute lil' spaceship that she rides around in, custom made for her. And I thought my mother was fussy.
The Chief could just jump in a Wraith, and smack a mortar in Samus's face.
Or he could jump in a Scorpion, throw her into the air with a shell, and strafe what's left with the machine gun.
Ghost: Accelerator, boost, *crunch*. Strafe her dazed body.
Warthog with Gauss cannon: 'nuff said.

Yeah well... One of samus' overpowered weapons to MC's face. Death 🙄

samus would win because in the halo 2 commercial mc says that he needs a weapon, well samus has one so she wins if this is based upon fighting.

plus, IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE TO CREATE A HALO,unless you somehow know a freind who has one in a cardboard box in the basement. But then look at the galaxy of samus it could happen.

Unbelievable. I make a point about how Samus can "pwn" in multiplayer as well as Chief, and that's automatically God-modding? Is anything above Chief's calibur considered God-modding? Is that your defense?

Which ship might you be thinking of? Her main series ship (that excludes the Primes) ain't cute, and the thing's got just as much firepower as she does.

I'm fairly certain Samus is athletic enough to not get run over by a vehicle. And let's not forget the strength of her suit.

"And lets not forget the powers of her suit..."
"Samus would own the Chief cuz her Suit kicks @$$..."

And I start hearing those again. It's always her suit, blah, blah, blah.... So, technology doesn't always win battles! Look at the Chief when he lost his shield functionality and had to take a SpecOps Elite with a sword. He nearly got his arm cut off.
If they (SA and MC) ever got into hand-to-hand combat, The Chief would win. Most definitely.

Another thing, Samus gets special attention. The Chief, not so much. People regard him as a "freak", for some reason. I've said this time and time again, that the Chief would win, because of his incredible reflexes, on-the-fly strategy, and thinking.

From now on to mkae things clearer everything is reffering to the latest main character from the latest installment in the series. That Means Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Halo 2. No more arguement about things that are years old.

alright, everyone, try looking at this from a different angle. that means I want all you master chief fans to find something good and cool about samus, and all you samus fans, I want you to say something good about master chief.

Master chief> He actually speaks.(dont say samus does because all she has done is text cut scene stuff, I mean real speaking)
Samus> she has some really nice screw attacks.

I'm sort of tired of people versing a first game Samus versus a Halo 2 MC... its BS, and the altest in the series should be the only one we are comparing them to!

Samus must be pretty good if she works alone... cheif has the entire earth military fleet backing him up if the covenant start crap... Whereas samus would have to deal with a possible metroid infestation or another encounter with the space pirates by herself. I dont see how she can be a bounty hunter for so long, and then 'just be good because of her suit' ? lol..

personally I think all the halo2'ers need to play through prime and prime : echoes before they start telling us how crappy samus is.

[I'd also like to point out, that how are we to wish samus to speak, when we arent sure if she speaks english? This isnt like halo where in halo1 aliens speak alien and then all the sudden in halo2 they talk english with perfect grammar and a british accent. Samus has been around for 2 decades in video game land and she hasnt spoken a word.. her adventures have only been categorized in english text. Thats why I dont want to assume she speaks our language.. she might even speak chozo or perhaps 'trade federation' language. It would be cool to know though.]

Surprisingly enough, you've screwed up on Master Chief again. How often do the military troops you get in-game last, and how much do they help? How could he have the entire UNSC fleet backing him up if the Covenant start crap when he's on the world of the Prophets in the heart of their territory?

Samus is Irish/Scottsih, apparently.

because no matter where you're at theres usually flood or marines fighting the covenant.. and considering all his 'options' (tanks banshees or whatever) I dont really consider 10+ enemies to mean anything in the halo universe. It differs from game to game : In diablo 2 if you told me I was going to have to face 100 enemies as a paladin with zeal and fanatacism I'd laugh my ass off... but if you told me I was going to face 100 enemies in a game like q3 or counterstrike, I would certainly expect to die.

Dogbert's right. No matter how hard I try to keep marines/elites alive, they keep dying. It's pretty easy to kill the AI off.
You're thinking wrong, Satsujin. Dogbert was saying that about the last scene in Halo 2, MC's on his own...the UNSC can't just spare a ship to blow the Forerunner ship to pieces.

Thank you Dark 🙂 actually, the whole set of mission at the end (The ones involving Cheif at least) are marine-less. Not to mention marines aren't worth anything, even on normal. They shouldn't even be a consideration because they're pretty much worthless. (Except Johnson)
