Another thing I'd like to mention.
Though Prime and echoes are excellent games, they don't fit into the full story arc. They were made by an upstart company who got the Metroid license and did really well with it. But I at least don't think of them as truly Metroids. I mean, in Echoes, there are only about three rooms that actually have Metroids in them.
So, do we go with Prime arc Samus, or the rest-of-the-series Samus?

and yet both of you only mentioned the 1st sentence of what I had to say. Take heed of the last part as well.
Quake 3 is Quake 3. Not Halo or Metroid. Not to mention picking up health packs just might let you not die in Q3. or using explosive weapons with area effect damage. Many ways to combat 100 enemies. and D2 isn't in the same category of game-type as ours. At level 1 10 enemies would slaughter you. at level 100, 1000 enemies will fall by your hand without you breaking a sweat. Unforunatly Halo or the Metroids are not RPG's, they're actions.
yes, thats true , but I was making a correlation between metroid and halo by giving those two examples. Since some people were saying that cheif is better because he takes on the entire fleet alone and such. So I wanted to illustrate that that kind of gameplay cannot be found across all game engines. (with some games having really hard singular enemies, while others have multiple enemies on the screen constantly)
Metroid prime is good enough to take it seriously as an installment in the series IMO, I mean hell.. noone thought they would do it right and it turned out to be a bigger success than expected.

As I said, it's an awesome game, but it just doesn't fit with the others. It can't even be placed into the timeline of the other games, and I've spent many a night trying. It's a deserving game, but being a Metroid freak, there are problems that I notice.
Here's the basic storyline:
Metroid/ Zero Mission: Samus Aran, a galaxy-famous bounty hunter, is sent to Zebes, on a mission to stop the Space Pirates from mass-producing Metroids as biological war weapons.
Metroid II: Return of Samus: The Galactic Federation decides it is too dangerous to leave the Metroids alive on planet SR388. Samus is sent to eradicate every last one of them from the planet. After killing the Metroid Queen, the only surviving egg hatches, and the Baby Metroid imprints her as its mother. Compassionately, she takes it with her as she leaves SR388.
Super Metroid: The Baby Metroid from the end of II is being studied by the Science Team at Galactic Federation HQ. The Space Pirates, led by Ridley, raid them, stealing the Metroid. Samus follows them back to Zebes, to find that they've rebuilt their base. She battles through Zebes again, finally facin up against a rebuilt Mother Brain. In that battle, the Baby Metroid sacrifices itself to save Samus, and she destroys the entire planet from within.
Metroid Fusion: On an escort mission to SR388, Samus is infected with a strange organism later known as the X, causing need for her suit to be surgically removed. She is saved only by a "Metroid vaccine" developed from cell cultures taken while the Baby Metroid was in GF captivity. The X multiply on the station, one even infecting her old suit, and the only option is to destroy the station. During this time, Samus also finds out that the GF Science Labs had been secretly growing Metroids to study their uses. The X and Metroids were direct enemies, and Samus' genocide of the Metroids allowed the X to take over SR388. The only option is to crash the station into SR388. Samus does so, and the entire planet is destroyed.
Prime Arc:
Metroid Prime: Samus finds a derelict cruiser orbiting the planet of Tallon IV, and soon uncovers a huge Space Pirate scheme to utilize the highly toxic "phazon" that has poisoned the planet. The "phazon" first appeared when a meteor hit the planet, and mutated most of the lifeforms. The Pirates apply the Phazon to Metroids, ending up with Metroid Prime. Samus kills Prime, which manages to live by stealing her Phazon Suit.
Metroid Prime II: Echoes: Samus finds Aether, a world similarly hit by a Phazon meteor, but with more drastic consequences. Aether has been split into two dimensions, with the Ing in control of the dark side. Metroid Prime, now with full control of the Phazon Suit, has followed the Space Pirates to Aether and is leeching the Phazon from Dark Aether. Samus kills Prime a second time and gathers the Light of Aether from Dark Aether, destroying the dark version of the planet and saving the Luminoth.
More: Fusion has to be the last in the series so far because at the end, Samus still has the Fusion Suit.
Prime cannot happen after Metroid II, because the solar system hologram shows both Zebes and SR388 intact.

Heh... and in Metroid Fusion, she gets a new ship with the AI... I didn't know if it came before or after prime, but apparently it must come after Echoes even; she still has the same orange ship in all the other games. 😖
Samus' ship in Prime is Retro-designed, and built entirely differently from the other ships in the series. And actually, the ship in Echoes is the ship from Metroid II and Super Metroid.
Well, It must be a part of the story line since as you play, the first time you hear the rementioning of the metroid creature (maybe I'm just wierd) but I think as the player you are connected emotionally at that point of being reintroduced to it. That feeling of "Damn.. someone unleashed a metroid? this is bad news.." So I mean if the game expresses dejavu with this creature, why cant it be a valid source of reference for this battle?
Actually Max Payne's little trick would not work againts MC as his reactions are 5 times faster when he is wearing his suit and without the suit they are 3 times the normal
Plus MC's suit shields him from radiation and EMP
His suit also lets him survive in a vacuum for 90 minutes
Without the suit he can dent metal armour with his fist, with the suit he can punch through cement
MC can run up 50kph
Because of enhancements MC bones can't break thats why only Spartans are only able to wear the armour
MC is able to do advanced Maths plus he has an extensive knowledge of historic battles
A very Simple Scenario. Samus has Arcane Armor, the Chozos behind her, infinite and no-cool-time ammo, seeking missiles all the time, freeze, spazer, and wave beams which together go through walls, fire 3 shots, and FREEZE enemies, and the hyper beam which, well let's just say it is the Penultimate form of energy destruto-beams, and she, unlike the MC, can morph ball and get into areas he wish he could even see. MC has energy shields which energy weapons deplete like a mofo(use twin Plas Rifles on multi. it will score forever for you.), grenades, and not much else. he gets 2 count em 2 weapon options and no extra health. Samus, on the other hand, has E-tanks for emergency. MC is wayyy outmatched also because he is a simple (for a cyborg bad a.) grunt, she has toured the FRIKKIN GALAXY as a bounty hunter. Skill, weapons, utter hotness, and experience-Samus. Cool if irritating, a hot AI babe, and some Marine buddies-MC.
Samus all the way.
And by the by, at the beginning of Metroid 3, aka Super Metroid, that is Samus speaking. Or the female they chose for her voice. Beyond that, MC has to talk, he actually has folks he needs to converse with. Samus, on the other hand, is alone and on either ships or dark planets filled with things that want to take her and use her like a can of spam. (Rip open, fry contents, eat). Silence is key to HER survival.
MC could put his fist through her face. Instant death. Her helath wouldn't matter as once MC puts his fist through her face she would die.
I forgot to mention that his suit can also change temperature. So once he is using stealth he can't be detected even with Thermal imaging.
Samus without her suit is usless where as MC without his suit is still as fast and quick.
What bloody use would the morph ball be in a open area?
And another fact I forgot to mention is that MC can see in the dark
Also Samus loses her weapons abilities way to easy, like after a crash or virus, so Cortana could easily give Samus a everlasting virus to disable Samus' weapons
Lets not forget that MC can run much faster than Samus
Plus in multiplayer thats chiefs againts chiefs both have super refelexes and quick speed

Considering that countless explosions, gigantic beasts, and powerful mutants have yet to even scratch Samus' visor, I doubt a little thing like a fist would do it.I forgot to mention that his suit can also change temperature. So once he is using stealth he can't be detected even with Thermal imaging. I would like proof that his suit can change temperature, because I've never heard that. And Samus still has X-ray and Echo visors, anyways.
Samus without her suit is usless where as MC without his suit is still as fast and quick. Again, proof. His suit never comes off in the games that I've seen, and the books do not count in this discussion. And, as we saw in Zero Mission,
What bloody use would the morph ball be in a open area? Quite useful indeed, considering that a half-size ball boosting across the ground is much harder to hit than a full-size Samus.
And another fact I forgot to mention is that MC can see in the dark So can Samus, with her numerous visors. And she would have better natural night vision anyway, considering that the majority of her missions take place miles below the surfaces of Zebes and SR388.
Also Samus loses her weapons abilities way to easy, like after a crash or virus, so Cortana could easily give Samus a everlasting virus to disable Samus' weapons I've been through this at least three times before. Rebooting the Power Suit eliminates any and all viruses. And there is no such thing as an "everlasting virus." Once the system the virus is attached to switches off, the virus disappears.
Lets not forget that MC can run much faster than Samus This is a point how? And if you do actually have a point, Samus' Speed Booster seems a pretty tough speed to beat on foot.
Plus in multiplayer thats chiefs againts chiefs both have super refelexes and quick speed So? I'm pretty sure that anyone with a free hand can operate a plasma rifle.
