Ehh what would you do underwater anyway? There would be no covenant down there.
You can when on earth, when your beside the sea you can walk out into it but the game engine kills you so you can't escape the "level" and get out of bounds.

I still don't think it'd be as easy as all that for Samus to beat the MC. I've been looking and I cannot find any sources that say the Chozo were masters of warfare. I did find a document that posted all the Chozo lore log files from Metroid Prime and all they mentioned were that the Chozo were masters of technology. I've also not been able to see anything that says Samus' DNA is infused with Chozo DNA. I've checked sites, instruction manuals, etc. Where are either of these things stated?

The cybernetic enhancements are nothing new - the Chief has those as well. The statement of the Chozo being masters of war is still elusive, however.
Samus wins only because she has so much technology at her disposal, all at once. Otherwise, she has no clear advantages.
Look, physical prowess has nothing to do with the competition. I say that it would end in a draw with both of them panting and sweating. Then Samus'd say,"Hold me", and the Chief would proceed to do naughty things to her. COME ON! THEY'RE A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN! If you think of it my way, BOTH win! 😄

Anyways, the Chief has had, and I have the book right here, a superconducting of his neural dendrites(fibers in his brain) giving him a THREE-HUNDRED PRECENT INCREASE in his reflexes, e.g. his reaction time is nearly 20 miliseconds. He can dodge just about anything. BTW, a plasma weapon, such as Samus's arm cannon, does NOT propel it's ammunition at the speed of light, as light is only a byproduct of the cannon's manufacture of the plasma(presumably by the ionizing of hydrogen atoms into helium atoms). The plasma would become unstable on exit of the cannon's containment field and, basically, become not only volatile but also inaccurate. More like a plasma blunderbuss. So NYEH! 😮💨
plasma can travel at higher speeds than 20 milliseconds.. games just dumb it down so users dont go into epilleptic seizure..
not to mention you did not create samus, so you can not come up with some rediculous theory about how particles charge up inside her cannon and how they traject after they are fired
