Also I think the Indy Jones movies got progressively better. Raiders belongs to the "purists". Last Crusade is really the favorite to anyone whose willing to be honest with themselves. People feel a duty to say Raiders cause its the original. But most people I speak to honestly like Last Crusade best.
And I dont know what it is but I personally LOVE Temple of Doom. I think its better than Raiders, second to Last Crusade. Why better than Raiders? Its funnier, its faster, more intense action, darker, crazier. Short Round is the man. And I liked Kate Capshaw. I understand people find her annoying but I think shes kind of supposed to be? Come on. Shes got a lot of personality. Totally ill-equipped to go on this adventure (unlike Marion). People point that out as if its a flaw. Its a motivated choice. It gives the movie more opportunities for fun. Just a great movie. Anyone else with me on Temple of Doom?
I just dont understand people that claim to be Indiana Jones fans yet they entirely dismiss and loathe one third of the films themselves

please don't reduce my love of raiders to "duty". and it's basically retarded to say that temple of doom is better.i mean, i liked temple more than most, but...come one. let's be honest with ourselves here. you don't have to like temple of doom because of duty.
Well I said why I feel Temple of Doom is better. Your argument for Raiders being better is "Come on." Raiders is better than Temple because come on?
A lot of Temple haters out there but seldom do these people ever cite what's actually wrong with it. Not saying they all love the film, but I'd honestly like to hear from one articulate person what's wrong with the film. Just to hear the words. I wont even necesarily argue back. Just someone tell me whats so wrong with it. And particularly what the big deal with Raiders is.
Frankly Raiders doesnt make my top 15 Spielberg movies (i dont think). There. Perhaps I should admit something must be wrong with me. I just find it a bit harder to get into. So in my book the Indy films get better and better. Doesn't guarantee the 4th will be even better but who knows?
i was being ironical.
temple of doom is considered the worst of the series because of capshaw. i hate capshaw. also, the pacing is just poor. it seems to be constantly floating beneath the surface of interesting, always threatening to bob up, but never following through. it's still somewhat solid, though. there's some humor "to the poison you just drank!" and such. the real problem is that the nazi's aren't the bad guys.
