Well people this is Halo Day. 5 years ago Halo debuted on the Xbox and forever changed the life of some of us residents of the Halo Nation. Yes that's our name now. Our lords of Order and Chaos at Bungie have named their children. Now on to the big news:

1) Halo 3 Beta multiplayer for Xbox Live Marketplace to be due on Spring 2007.

2) New Halo 2 maps that have been confirmed for the 360 only.

3) New CGI ad that will air on December 4 during the football game.

dvds? dvds on what? like the making of the game or something?

Yeah. One DVD will be about the making of. Another one will have all the cut-scenes of all 3 games in high definition. Another one will have Halo Nation community stuff(think Red vs Blue etc.) and the other one I forgot about it probably more behind the scenes stuff.

Halo Nation is what the guys at bungie have named the Halo gaming community. Red vs Blue is a series produced by Rooster Teeth telling the stories of 2 armies waging an unusual war in Blood Gulch(Coagulation) using the Halo/2 engine. It's a humoristic series.

they have new pix on IGN....graphics and gameplay looks exactly the same as halo2...if it's the same game as halo2 just diff maps n storyline, i say f that...

halo 1 and 2 were the same game, what do you honestly expect? as long as its good im happy. if its better than thats a bonus. keep your expectations low, it always works out in the end.

So did I, Halo 1 had more free environments which is something I love in videogames.

Halo 1 was the first one. It was fresh, original and cool. The 2nd only added new gameplay features but kept things exactly as the first one. Bungie keeps talking about the mythical function the X button will perform in halo 3 that will change Halo. God knows what they're thinking...probably a sprint or grapples or the ability to take/wrestle for the opponent's weapons.

for the guy who said graphics are the same as H2 theres a reason they are halo 2s halo 3 was then running as the call in the buissiness a pre-alpha build the earliest playable build of the game to make sure the engine and everything are working. they used halo 2 textures on everything. the x button activates sumthing acording to 1up and bungie what could u activate ( a sprint fuction i think excluding that i dont have any ideas) also theres a public beta coming soon on the xbox live market place its a mulitplayer map and thats it maybe yu have to pay maybe you dont no one knows yet cant wait release of beta spring

on a OT note anyone excited about the new halo 2 maps out spring

you push X and he goes "I need a weapon..." and then moments later everyone on the map dies... true story 😎

is the release date out yet by any chance?

They probably copied Gears Of War on the sprint
