Why does master chief hide his face? Is he ashamed of his looks? Let us see what lies concealed under the mask, any chance Bungie will let us?
I was not most impressed with the pics compared to the CGI clip, graphics look inferior to Gears of war, but those are pics, and pics mean nothing, lets wait till we see some gameplay.
Are we killing the same aliens again or do we get to see some new races involved, and do the aliens still speak better English then me?

He doesn't really "hide his face" per se, it's more of an element that Bungie uses to shroud the character in more mystery. Even in the books, the most description we get of him is he's pale, because he's in the suit all the time.

Bungie has said time and time again they haven't finished the graphics engine, and they claim that when Halo 3 comes out it will have the best visuals out there. Granted it will have a hard time looking better than GOW.
Bungie has also said they don't necessarily intend to compete with Gears of War graphically.
As you can easily see between the two games, the styles are completely different. GOW is ultra-realistically detailed down to the tiniest possibilities, and the Halo series hasn't taken that direction, visually speaking.
I am interested in seeing how Halo 3 will compare to other games that are released near the same time.

Has anybody picked up the December issue of EGM?
Holy shit... their Halo article was 17 pages of goodness. So many things mentioned, not the least of which was the Custom Game Matchmaking, multiplayer, single player games completely re-watchable (think Madden's replay), some info on the new maps, new weapons, grenades, and controls.

Highly doubt it. It will probably release November 2007 like the last two, in order to help Microsoft with the 2007 Christmas season against Sony, and so the game is complete to the fullest.

I know what your referring too, its that comercial where the license plate on one car says GOW11/07/06 and the other car had HAL0707 or something like that. Halo 1 and 2 launched in November, no reason why Halo 3 should be different.
