do we agree this would be a fantastic story? the odd thing is...predators and wolverine have much more in common than they differ. morals...training....smarts....fighting ethics....list goes on and on.
this would only work in a what if type scenario, if not then the writers would make wolvie win.

ive thought about this for a few months i have a few sweet ideas.
capture him after he takes out an Alien? thats what i was thinking.
The predator is hunting an alien then wolvie finds the alien first and takes him out....seeing this the pred sees wolvies potential as being the greatest prey. his healing, smarts, ability, animal instincts would make him the ultimate prey....how hard would it be to hunt him down ya know?
as who wins well...id see it as a draw....the predator would have too much respect for wolvie to kill him at the end, seeing all that hes accomplished. or maybe not
i see the Preds telling him if he doesnt come with them to another planet or whatever theyll kill him (preds always run in the hundreds) he agrees and they set up the gauntlet you referred to. each pred takes his turn then allows wolvie to rest after each match he wins...then this goes on until wolvie dies or the draw thing happens...sounds sweet to me
i see wolverine taking out the main predator and then showing the predator not every defeat ends in death and teaches him a lesson in compassion.
some of the predators would use weaponary but he would avoid being injured.
then the head predator would say don't use weapons against this one,otherwise the victory will be empty.
have any other ideas?

yeah those pants survived a long fight with venom, a sonic plasma blaster ray that disintegrated wolvies entire torso to the bone, a tacticle nuke at point blank, another short bout with venom, and yet another sonic, plasma explosion, that was inside of wolverine, that tore venom apart on impact......after all that the pants didn't even have the slightest hint of dirt or scuff, much less a shread or tear.
now tell me, with those pants, how would any predator hope to survive?

I read that book, I recall his arm taking about a weak to regrow. At least that's the best I could figure because I don't remember it saying anywhere clearly.
