FF4 VS these 4 xmen i chose

I'm talking about the most common Jean Grey. I was never given any reason to assume the thread creator meant otherwise.

the common jean grey is an omega class t.p. if i'm not mistaken...

johnny storm had his powers switched with sue, she has his flame powers, he has her invisibility/forcefield powers, you can't have em both with that much power...

pick one... not both...

im still saying f4, but this aint no walkover...

If we're going with most common Jean Grey, than we are going with non-herald Johny. IF we are going with current on both, then Jean Grey IS Phoenix and Johny is a herald. You can't say you go with he most common incarnation of her and let Johny be current. Also, yes Phoenix is more powerful than the four of them combined. She is almost infinitely powerful. She is a cosmic force that may one day rival that of a full power Galactus. As for cosmic threats the X-men fight: Thye have fought Dark Phoenix, the brood, the shi'ar, all of them are incredible superpowers, but they have been able to overcome.

all i said was that you can't have herald johnny and invisible sue... because its not possible...

A) No, she's not.

B) Almost is the key word there.

C) ONE DAY she MIGHT rival Galactus. She isn't as powerful as him, bearing in mind he is someone the F4 have overcome.

D) They fought the Shiar and the Brood. So? Annihilus, Galactus, Dr. Doom and all those within the negative zon are much worse than those.

they're no pushovers either...

and they defeated the phalanx... they weren't exactly weak either...

sure f4 fights on a grander scale, thats their m.o., but i don't think it should take away from the fact that the xmen have done their share...

Done their share, sure.

The reason they don't fight who the F4 fight is coz they're not strong enough consistently, or overall.

You know that I like Colossus and Psylocke primarily out of the X-Men, not like I hate them. I think they deal with some good issues but powers wise I don't think they can beat the F4, tactically either.

if its current f4 they have a chance... sue has johhny's powers and has f*ck all control over em... johnny's a herald but an inexperienced one...

xmen can give em a hell of a fight...

He doesn't need to be a skillful herald to beat the X-Men though.

They have a shot but I don't think they have the win, at all.

i disagree... johnny will need to be at his best... current jean is extremely powerful... johnny's cockyness could be the f4's undoing...

Yeah he will need to be at his best but he doesn't need to be skilled in being a herald (finding planets) to be at his best.

He is cocky but when in a team fight he is much more grounded.

but he's the ace in the hole... i mean the others can be taken down by the xmen... it'll come down to johnny imo... if he reacts fast enough he wins... but if he doesnt he's screwed...

Exactly. His cockyness could work FOR him though, Torch doesn't wanna lose either way. So if it's a quick reaction he needs to win the fight for the team. He will, I believe anyway.

There are still other members in this fight. I believe Nightcrawler is of no consequence to be honest. Ice-Man couldn't do much to Sue, technically. Nor could Jean if she's in her bubbles. Then there's Reed, who'll probably have a Magneto-esque helmet to protect against the mind powers etc. There are just way too many ways for F4 to win, for them to lose. IMO.

well if this is current sue then he can do a lot... she has torch's powers... iceman is more powerful imo...

I still give it to the FF, but Jean is too unpredictable and too dangerous. I think, in this fight, she's more dangerous than Sue, because her telepathic attacks are faster.

Too bad NC is involved, he doesn't belong in this fight, it only makes the X-team weaker.

Saying that before Sue could protect them, Jean will have attacked is an assumption. Nobody knows what WOULD happen.

What should be happening is comparing powers. Jean is the greatest threat here but considering the people she's with. I don't think they win, which is pretty much the feeling here anyway.

Jean IS the Phoenix. Stop saying she isn't because New X-men and Phoenix:Endsong have both told us she is! Also, the FF were able to beat Galactus, with a few avengers and while Galactus was in a highly weakened state. Phoenix is near the power of a FULLY-POWERED Galactus. She is more powerful than any one of the FF, and she is more powerful than all of them combined. Ok, let's say Sue or Johny do get a inviible shield before Jean can mindwipe them. She still has TK. She is incredibly powered with her TK. She has the ability to create a TK shield around Johny or Sue's shield that is airtight and could suffocate them out. She, along with Iceman, Colossus, and Nightcrawler are several times more powerful than the FF.

A) No she's not.

B) Mind powers of any kind are inaffective against Sue's/Johnny's shields. They could still configure the shields to allow air in.

C) No they are not several times more powerful than the F4 and it's ridiculous to even claim it.

B. If she created an airtight bubble AROUND their shield, they couldn't let air in, because her shield would be preventing that. You have really screwy science.

C. Yes they are, it's ridiculus to claim that the FF are more powerful than the X-men...
