There's a lot of Batman hate aroung here.

Not at all. Batman's one of the few "street level" (ahem) heros who doesn't bore me to tears.

What's to say the same won't happen for CM?

There isn't. That's why this is really even imo.

He means in general on the versus forum as a whole.

The point is, CM has a level. He's granted an amount of power.

This power is probably higher than he normally shows. But at the same time, it seems to have more of a cap limit than Superman does. That's all I'm getting at. Superman can KEEP increasing as he needs to.

i've heard that mentioned before but i've always wondered where that came from. was it in a recent book? and under what circumstances can he continually increase his power?

Under stress, Superman's body absorbs more and more yellow sun radiation.

i know that is the explanation, but where was it revealed to be true and what were the circumstances?

In Superman #152 during his training session with Mongul. Supes said he could feel his powers surge or something like that.

Juntai (or Avalon, I forget) told me that once J'onn and Diana said that Superman can absorb more and more sunlight making his powers limitless.

Dr Emil Hamilton said it to Superman, and he's not only one of the best scientists in DC's comics, but he's also studied Superman more than anyone.

Or not. He draws strength from the mythological Hercules who had "unlimited" strength. This isn't the same DC Hercules who WW throws around.

😆 I will take that statement as you trying to say Captain Marvel has unlimited strenght or perhaps i have misunderstood what you might be trying to get across?

If it works for Superman why not Marvel? At the end of the day the two are always going to be shown as equals despite what anyone here thinks on the matter.

Hmmmmmmmmmm well although it has been stated (And to me i still speculate over this so called fact) that superman and marvel are equal, I think if it comes down to it and you ask numerous and decent writers of supes and marvel and basin it of an honest decision i think they would agree supes is the greater but thats just my opinion.

hmm, that's not really getting to the point. juntai explained it anyway. but now i'm legitimately curious -- he stated that with stress he absorbs more sunlight? was this ability actually displayed anywhere?

and i think you're right on about marvel and superman, val. they likely always will be portrayed as equals. their rather convoluted history (outside the pages of the comics themselves) seems to scream that will be the case.

Why is this thread even exist?!? 😐

Marvel has shown time and time again that he beats Superman because of Magic 😎

Shazam 8/10

If it works for Marvel, why not Ted Kord?

Can you show the scan where it says Captain Marvel draws on unlimited power, or has infinite strength?
Last arc I really read with them together was First Thunder, and Captain Marvel was on Supes' nuts.
