and i think you're right on about marvel and superman, val. they likely always will be portrayed as equals. their rather convoluted history (outside the pages of the comics themselves) seems to scream that will be the case.

Everybody has a strength increase under stress. Adrenalin. Does Superman's physiology increase this affect?

Under stress, his body absorbs more and more sunlight making him stronger.

Surge:a sudden sharp increase, eg in prices, electrical current, etc(From Dictionary).

In all there battles it's very clear

that Superman , Black Adam , and Captain Marvel are fairly equal in power.

since the pre crisis days

that has yet to change.

But when it's all said and done ........ Superman comes out on top.

hmph. interesting. but, while a cool theory (and in theory, i admit, a viable reason for why supes could beat marvel) it still needs to be demonstrated in-book to make it 'true', if you know what i mean. in a smiliar way, hulk has been said to have limitless strength, and while i believe the theory, the fact that he has yet to demonstrate that strength is a fair point against my belief. what superman really NEEDS to do is beat down someone like ww or adam or marvel. because until he does, all the talk about his superiority (which i am NOT discounting) is rather irrelevent because battles with other top tier guys will continue to be the measuring stick by which he and others are measured.

i realize that this is a shitty argument... but come on guys... we all know that no Writer would let marvel beat supes, Marvel is number 2, thats the way he likes it i think, he doesnt want to be better than superman.
