The theory of superman's power fluctuates due to stress and rage is nearly fact as, and if you have read any of his comics, it's what the other heroes see in him, and they know he can become so much more if he let himself... but of course he limits himself to stop from hurting others including other heroes.

hmmmmmmmmmmm no wrong wrong wrong, now i dont remember excatly were this was stated but it says supes has a mental block on his powers. If you have a mental block on it even if you think your going all out your not really due to that block holding you back over time you might break the block.
because the most powerful in the DC universe have said supes doesn't know yet his potential, if he did realize his potential a few superheroes will be left dead, and supes haters will be screaming and shouting about how this can't be logical, is it me or is comics in a fictional world where anythin can happen, because i swear some people think they are living in a fictional world lol, so yeah he hasn't to be honest, but when he starts to care less and less about the safety of others that mental block will break and he'll be unleashed full on, proper big bang, kick ya in the nuts, f*cked your mother, slap across the ass, fighting crazy on everyone who apposes him.
Anywho, whatever is going on its gonna be awesome when they bring up his power levels again. (or unleash him as it were)

He didn't care about the safety innocent civilians when he fought Wonder Woman. He even said so himself when he had a flashback of the fight.

Not really like i said i cant remember were i have read it but if indeed he does have a mental block even if he believes his giving it his all his not necessarily doing that based on the fact the block is a mental aspect.

How many of those fights you named was Superman even in control???
Through the course of the Crisis and leadup, he was influenced by Maxwell Lord and Psycho Pirate. Eclipso against CM..
He wasn't exactly fighting as Superman would, in fact, his whole mentality was off when he fought Diana. He thought Manchester Black killed Lois, and didn't act a thing like that.
Against BA?
As soon as Supes said he was going to end it.. . suddenly someone didn't want to try going tangling anymore. Supes even gave the comment that leads one to believe he was about to drop BA in one shot.
