Okay... believe it or not, I just read through all 33 pages, and I have a few questions....

Since when has Hagrid's mother been the queen of the giants? They don't have a "Queen," they have one ruler.

Who the heck is Mark Evans? How could he be a wizard if Lily Potter was a muggle-born.

Remember the prince is probably in CoS. I'm guessing that it was definately someone that had a small part in CoS.

Nick wasn't a prince. If you go to jkrowlings.com there's a poem all about his death. I don't think a prince would be executed like that.

BB- Mark Evans is the boy who Dudley beat up in OOTP, he was 10 yrs old in that book. Since Evans was Lily's maiden name...that ties Mark into being possibly related. We don't know if he's a wizard...but maybe Dudley beat him up b/c he was weird......maybe he was weird b/c he would do wizardy things(like harry once did) without knowing them.

Also since he was 10...he will be 11 in the next book and just in time to begin Hogwarts.

Wouldn't Dumbledore know that there was another living relative of Harry's? Then he would have sent him there.

I thought that Hagrid could be the Half-Blood Prince, but if he is a prince of giants then why didn't he win the giants over when he and Madame Maxime went to visit them?

Though of course the giants might not enjoy the fact that their prince is a halfblood...

i think all of these are good ideas...but none of them really click...although this mark evans idea sounds more convincing every time somebody explains it...but i am bothered by the fact that he wasn't even in Cos...so i don't know...theres got to be more halfbloods we're not thinking of...

Dumbledore... 😛 Who knows whether he is a half blood or a pure blood?

I mentioned earlier, could even be someone completely new, Harry Potter's long lost cousin or something, lol.

This is my theory.... I think that maybe Mark's parents (or parent) might be a follower of Lord V OR maybe Mark/Lily/Harry are related to voldemort (through their muggle family sides) either way Dumbledore would have no choice but to tell everyone that Harry had no other family than the Dursleys. If Harry had went to live with Mark's family (before he was born) then that MIGHT have put Harry in danger.

Lianso- I think the small thing in COS could have been the fact that Lord V. had mentioned he wasn't interested/didn't want to kill Lily. WHY THOUGH? Maybe they were related........... and this whole time it would be a secret b/c the plot has to build..etc..etc and JK wouldn't tell us right off the start that Harry/Voldemort were related. WEll we know the HBP isn't one of them...but could very well be someone related to them both..MARK EVANS..... who SHOULD/MIGHT be entering Hogwarts in HBP book.

It could be "something small said in COS" that links the clues to what is going to happen in HBP! So don't think of a person. This person most likely has not been introduced to us....

Remember the Lovegoods' were introduced to us in GOF but we thought nothing of it until LUNA LOVEGOOD came to Hogwarts in OOTP. This same thing could happen with Mark Evans. Why would JK pick EVANS of all names to use for the character's last name. Wouldn't you think she chose to use "Evans" to tie him in with Harry somehow. If not..then his character name could have been Mark Jones or something....

I disagree, there is no way Mark Evans can be connected to Harry, certainly not on his mothers side. If this was the case it would have been mentioned before and im sure Dudley would know if he was beating up his own cousin. If the character was going to be important then surely she wouldn't call him Evans and make it impossible for him to be linked to Harry via his mother.

I very much doubt she will introduce a brand new main character in this book because, from what I gather, this book will largely focus on filling us in on the back story on the original that we don't know yet. This makes me think that the half blood prince will be someone we have already met.

Erm if Justin is pure blood and the Basilisk didn't come for him, what was the Basilisk doing near Nearly headless Nick?Surely it can't be a coincidence.Nick might be halfblood.

I disagree to airangel. But just with the part about mark/lily/harry being related to voldermort. Nobody is related to Voldermort. Voldermort is the last LIVING decendent of Slytherin. If lily was related to Voldermort, then so would harry, meaning harry was related to voldermort, which isn't possible because voldermort is the only decendent of slytherin. And Mark is alive so he can't be related to voldermort either.
