Lianso- I think the small thing in COS could have been the fact that Lord V. had mentioned he wasn't interested/didn't want to kill Lily. WHY THOUGH? Maybe they were related........... and this whole time it would be a secret b/c the plot has to build..etc..etc and JK wouldn't tell us right off the start that Harry/Voldemort were related. WEll we know the HBP isn't one of them...but could very well be someone related to them both..MARK EVANS..... who SHOULD/MIGHT be entering Hogwarts in HBP book.

[b]It could be "something small said in COS" that links the clues to what is going to happen in HBP! So don't think of a person. This person most likely has not been introduced to us....

Remember the Lovegoods' were introduced to us in GOF but we thought nothing of it until LUNA LOVEGOOD came to Hogwarts in OOTP. This same thing could happen with Mark Evans. Why would JK pick EVANS of all names to use for the character's last name. Wouldn't you think she chose to use "Evans" to tie him in with Harry somehow. If not..then his character name could have been Mark Jones or something.... [/B]

This is impossible, because then the spell that Voldemort used on Harry when he was a baby wouldve hit if they were related, because he would already have the same blood (somewhat) as Harry.

Well, it is possible. Voldermort can be the last living descendent of Salazar Slytherin and be related to Lily's family. Tom Riddle's father was a muggle, remember.

You know, I kind-of wonder about Voldemort's mother. Salazar Slytherin always thought that purebloods should be the only ones allowed into the school, so why did she run away with a muggle and get pregnant? They never married right?

EXACTLY THAT'S WHAT I WAS THINKING ABOUT THE NEXT BOOK~

^you make some EXCELLENT points...really got me thinking about Mark Evans...his last name does seem a bit planned, like you said, she could have picked something totally unrelated...but she picked Evans instead. but these other points are also valid. Related to Voldy seems a bit of a stretch, especially with the whole blood thing, like Secosera_TD said...if they were related in the first place, why did the curse reflect off harry? but the way voldemort hesitated to kill lily still has me thinking as well...so all in all i think AA has a good point, just needs some tweeking 🙂

All of these theories are very interesting, but lets see what were the main elements of CoS . the heir of slytherin was suppose to come back to Hogwarts... so he didn't because Voldermor is halfblood. So this prince will aslo be halfblood.
some thing must to have been mentioned in CoS what indicates to HBP, maybe is DObby ! Lets say that Dobby has been cursed and tunred to an elf, and in fact he is a halfblood wizard. I don't know trslly... I will go thorugh CoS when I will have time, this time I will read more carefull, cause usually I don't ignore the small details, so

AND btw does any one knows what the following sentence means in Latin, in all the books the same sentence appears on the first page:

Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus

some how I have a feeling that this sentence is an answer to many misteries!

Well, talking about that, what might have Voldemort's mother had been thinking? Since this is a kids book, I doubt it could be rape, but maybe she was the rebel of the family or something. Does anyone know her name?

I know that this is kind-of random, but I think this could mean that Tom Riddle was the half blood prince. I know that we've already had this argument that Tom Riddle is Voldermort, but I don't really think so.
