The force could still manipulate that.
Actually ST does have a lot of fighter class ships, shuttles armed with phasers, photons, and shields, runnabouts, delta flier, and lots more... Not as many as in the SW universe... Not even I would try to argue that.
As far as the Death Star goes... I will tell this tail one last time...
Its called the U.S.S. Pegasus, hosting a Federation PHASED CLOAKING device... SOOOOO.... first the Death Star would not be able to detect them because they are cloaked, and second, the Pegasus would be phased so it can pass through energy and matter... Cloak the ship... Move in, phase through the superstructure to the reactor core, launch a dozen photon torpedos, and warp out. Boom. Death Star Dead.
And one more time about the Force... If the Force can not affect the VONG or their technology the why would you assume that it affects ST. This is a totally speculative point. No one knows for sure but the evidence provided by LUCAS points to NO. BUT... if the Force did affect ST then the game would change a bit. I would have to do a lot more research into super beings in the ST world cause there are just to many to remember.
And dont worry... I wont dignify Jedi Styles comment with a response. 💃
Swanky Tuna, why don't you ram a warp core up your ass. Call me a troll, you couldn't come up with anything better.
I've been here for a while, I generally dont post in this part of the forum..
I've posted twice in this one thread.. ... But really, it's a dumb argument. A thread like this would gets trekies and the SW geeks in an uproar anyway... It's kind of a pointless argument because fans of thier proposed Sci-Fi Medium are just biast to it... I can voice what I want.
I could say the Klingon Army with the Dominion, with the Borg and the Romulans could own the Galatic Empire...
Star Trek did come first....
Okay i meant a galaxy of infinite bad asses....
Actually TR in ESB they talk about cloaking devices in SW... So they know about it and should be able to detect it. And i'm not saying the force could affect the ST people (which it probably will because they are still humans well some of them) but what about the stars? The planets? The water the space the air?

I don't know how accurate this site is but it says Star Wars cloaking devices sucked the butt. Star Trek cloaking devices are really no better. At first you couldn't even fire with them on.. I don't know, maybe they're just equipped on crappy ships. The Pegasus one was pretty sweet though.I could, but I'd have trouble seeing that you are as snippy as an adolescent girl while I'm traveling at ass enhancing warp speed.
Nice find there Swanky-T... Interesting read too. That site is filled with tons of stuff...

I think we talked about this before... You are right. There are episodes of ST that talk about how it would take a lot of power to destroy an asteroid... and in SW Fett just drops a few bowling ball size charges and destroys a whole asteroid field... and again I say it was written by a man who has a severe case of penis envy... Even if you look at the power scales in the RPG they are way out of proportion... But if you try to compare the two its like apples and tomatoes... fruits and vegetables. You have to put them in the same universe together and make them apples and oranges, then you can compare the fruit.
Its really amazing how much research has been done on this subject... Here is an interesting analysis of hull strengths.
Sorry for the double post but I just found another great analysis of the speed of the SW hyperdrive... These guys have analysed the hell out of the moves. You have to give them props for the effort they made in building these arguments.
The time thing is very interesting and I haven't read all of it yet, but its right now stating things about time zones on Coruscant sounds smart sounds wise sounds nice... It only has one really big problem. Coruscant has mirrors around the planet servicing as suns (labyrinth of evil), meaning that if one of those went out then a large part of the planet could suddenly go into night. A small shuttle flying in front of it could ruin the sun time in the day. Basically making that entire argument false or at least in correct.
I've read both now... Well the time thing is completely wrong and biased.. The other thing IMO just tries to sound smart, he also attacks somebody from the SW side that did the same and the people that calculated it already choice sides.
I can't really argue with the second one, because I have no real facts that play against it, except for a one thing. You never actually see the Star Destroyer get destroyed, and every small asteroid was blown away. The size he stated was therefor when you think about it far to small. For a ship that was 3 kilometers long a big asteroid would be needed to do mass amount of damage.
Here is an interesting one on firepower...
