Since I was really the only one fighting for Star Trek and now that I am a follower of the Enlightened Way, does that make this battle over?Or is it one of those constant battles, that will never be over until the end of time.

Yeah, cuz we smash them into nothingness. There's more holes in a Trekkie argument then there is in an American flag over a Middle Eastern embassy.
I hope you don't mean that EVERY Trekkie's argument is full of wholes. Some of us try our best to put forward a proper argument.
It's too bad that this thread is basically over, I was having quite a bit of fun with it, and I learned quite a few things about SW (especially the books) that I never knew before. Stardestroyer.net helped to show what Lucas was aiming for in terms of the power of weapons, ships, etcetera.
Man... I stopped getting emails saying there were new posts in here so I appologize for the absence...
As I have said many many times before, I dont consider myself to be a fanboy trekkie... nor do I consider myself to hail SW as the greatest...
I know this thread is which one would win, and I think I have admitted that SW would own in many aspects. There are still things I like better about Trek than SW and there are many things about SW that I like better than Trek.
I did however just watch the last episode of ST:TNG - All Good Things... and found some new support for Trek that I had forgotten about.
In previous debates there was many mentions that Warp 10 was pretty much the same as Hyperdrive since the Warp speed ratio is exponential. Also that Trans Warpdrive is comparable as well.
In "All Good Things" they were moving at Warp 13... Just curious as to how that compairs to Hyperdrive... Im not a great mathmetician so I am not going to bother to attempt the calculations. Just throwing it out as food for thought.
ST weapons have also been hamered as being inferior to Turbo Lasers... Well I would like to throw in the Phaser Canon. My info is based purly on observation so I really dont know power comparisons. The paser cannon in "All Good Things" in a SINGLE blast pierces the shields of a Klingon battlecruiser and continues through the superstructure of the hull and out the other side... Thats pretty impressive compared to the phasers we see in the every day TV shows.
The time between year 7 of TNG and the "All Good Things" episode cant be more than 30 year due to everyones age... so I think thats a pretty impressive technology improvment in 30 years.
Not saying that Trek is better... just pointing out some new stuff. Like I said, food for thought.
I have read the few pages that I missed out on and I hope you all dont think I am some fanboy trekkie that cant support an argument to save my life... Im just here to support Trek cause someone has to... and I like them both.
I like visual media entertainment, TV shows and movies... and I have 6 SW movies to watch, about 12-14 hours of entertainment vs. about 24 different seasons of TV shows (about 22 episodes each season on average) and 11 movies... So needless to say, ST keeps me entertained longer...
Originally posted by TRSundownWe know, you have told us many times that you own more SW merchanise than ST. But as you yourself said this is speculation. Who says that ST's shields are as powerful as SW's? In a space battle even if we did have inferior ships, we would still win with pure numbers. On ground I know for sure that we are superior. We have many warrior species, that just outnumber ST. And we also have many land-based vehicles. AT-ATs, AT-STs, Air Speeders, etc. We outnumber ST by the trillions, actually like a hundred times that, because in KotOR Admiral Saul Karath said "there are billions of people on Taris". The senate is said to be made up of hundreds of star systems iall have at least a million. Plus the outer rim territories, the unknown regions and other regions. So we would have far too many troops to number. Do you have a map of the ST galaxy?Just to give us an estimate on how big it is.

Oh I am not really arguing any of those points... I was just pointing out that there is a display of ST weapons power that greatly surpassed previous displays. Food for thought.
Oh and there are actually 28 seasons of ST television... a correction to my previous post.
TOS = 3
TNG = 7
DS9 = 7
STV = 7
STENT = 4
