Revenge of the Sith- Oscars? (Merged)

I liked the part when the ship broke in half atleast.

Ahh, yeah that was pretty cool... the landing wasn't great though.

Yeah the little zoom to the cockpit thing sucked.

Yeah, that was very awkward

ONe thing that has impressed me are some smaller things, things that had to be pointed out to me. The star destroyer on Kashyyk, the clone bodies and destroyed walkers on the planet with the Jedi on the speeder.

It'll probably win, that our Star Wars fans will attack.,

Williams, will win for soundtrack, no doubt about it.

Speical Effects? Possibly.
Acting: Not in our lifetime.
Original Story: Probable

Original Story? Are you out of your mind?

It will be nominated for Visual Effects. I don't think it will win.

I don't even know if it can be nominated for Score as it's not all original...

Original Screenplay is alot to expect hey if it happen's I'll be happy but I'm not gonna count on it.

There is a glimmer of hope for Ian getting at least nominated. Though as someone stated, may have been Dodo, his performace was enhanced through editing.

Nope, wasn't me... but it is a valid point I guess. I'd love to see Ian nominated, but I doubt it'll happen.

I agree about Ian that is definitely a possibility.

Someone said it recently, but anyway. It was hard not to be sucked in when he was doing his seduction scenes. Both the opera scene and the revelation scene where out-f'n-standing. And the christening(sp) scene was great although obviously altered.

Very meh for me.
Why? The landing was pretty incredible, as was the cockpit zoom. I didn't see any obvious flaws.

Yes, my mind has left me.

I think it can, seeing as he did indeed, created every theme for Star Wars.

Ian? Slight possiblity.

It will not win simply for the fact that most of the stuff we see are not really effects but CGI,maybe it can win best animation or something.

What do you think visual effect is?

Heh. Seriously though, there is no such thing as 'Original Story'. If it's 'Original Screenplay' you're thinking of, George Lucas has no chance in hell.

But the thing about the Score is that Williams has already been awarded for writing the original themes, so I doubt he'll be awarded again as many of those themes are re-used in this film. Though I don't know the official criteria for nomination, so could be wrong.

Ian is possible... but not probable.

True thanks for the Correction. Oh, I go with the underdogs.

That's odd I was going to say Ian is possible but not probable in my last post. The force is strong with us?
😆

Well, seeing as the knew themes are really great. I can't see him not winning. But You've got to it admit, he's most likely to win if he gets nominated.

Haha... 😄

Indeed... if John Williams is nominated I'd say he's definitely most likely to win.

Well...let's run through the categories:

Sound Editing: Maybe a nomination...SW films are known for their creative sounds...but it's not original anymore.

Sound Mixing: Not a chance in hell. The mix was pretty bad this time around.

Score: Never...its no longer original...however impressive it is. BUT this also depends on what else comes out.

Song: What song?

Visual Effects: Most certainly a nomination here...maybe even a win.

Film editing: Obvious...no.

Costume Desing: Nope. Seen it all.

Art Direction: Nope. They all look a like now.

Make Up: Maybe if there was more to Make Up than a bit of Kentucky Fried Vader....Nyet, says I.

Cinematography: Nope....you have to shoot more than elements to be nominated here.

Foriegn: Ah...nevermind.

Screenplay, Adapted or Original: Not in a million years. It's not all that original anyways. The boat sinks...

Best Actress in a a Supporting Role: There were chicks in this picture?

Best Actor in a a Supporting Role: Ian might get a nod...but highly unlikely.

Best Actress in a a Leading Role: Chicks? Where...I blink when Nat was onscreen.

Best Actor in a a Leading Role: I'm alone here...but Ewan was great...he finally stepped into the role and made it alive and real...and it was consistent. Hayden...no way. For every good delivery...there is a so so one. Don't get me wrongo..."You turned her against me?" and the like was great...but "This is the end for you, my Master." was weak sauce.

Best Director: Ha ha...funny.

Best Picture: Ha ha...funnier.
