Here's a poem that kinda came out of nowhere...
Heart's Demise
My heart jumped off the edge,
Beating strongly with love,
Spreading its wings in utter joy,
For it knew that with your love,
It could flap its wings and fly,
Soaring away with you at its side,
But as it reached out for you,
Longing for you to join it in flight,
You turned away from it,
Looking towards another heart,
Leaving mine to fend for itself,
And suddenly it could no longer fly,
Its wings shriveling and turning black,
No longer supporting its weight,
And it began to fall so fast,
Desperately flapping broken wings,
But it kept on falling downwards,
And there, far beneath it,
Were many sharp, tall stones,
Littering the harsh and lonely ground,
My heart cried out for help,
But you ignored it for the other,
And then the ground met it,
As it was punctured again and again,
By those cruel and evil stones,
Blood spattering everywhere at once,
My heart screaming once in agony,
Twitching as pain raced through it,
Then my heart was completely still.
You, you unthinking, uncaring man,
Have murdered my poor, trusting heart.
