needed? to alienate the catholic church further from the progress the rest of the world is at is that whats needed?

Granted I'm not one of them 🙄

But yes, it is common knowledge that alot of catholic people who practice a more orthodx approach to religion believe that the church has strayed too far from the right path or so they say, leaving the traditional.

silver_tears> He isn't wishing death on the new Pope, but the man probably will pass faster than a party favour.....

Oh that's friendly 🙄

And I'm sorry I didn't get a feeling of love from "Oh well who cares, he'll be dead before we know it" 😛

I'm just saying....calm down....😛
It's true though, he probably will die soon....that's the latest buzz....

That's just cruel, why would you wish death upon someone? 😕
Why wouldn't you say something like hope he lives to be 90.....

ok, thanks for that, but there is a big
big difference between pointing out the blatent truth and
wishing for something. honestly i could care less. to me
the papacy represents the core of all that is corrup in catholicism.
i did however like JP2...

I saw it on tv.That is cool.JM

I'd wish death upon many people. I don't mean to sound cruel, cold or heartless.......but in this case I am and that's the way it comes out.

However, I wouldn't wish death on the pope......but if you live to or past 100 years old, it's something fairly uncommon...the man is already 78. He barely has 20 years left.

I'm aware that not all priests are guilty of this crime. But, when they work for an organization that has been shown to know about the problem, cover it up and pay off the victims to buy their silence, then I have a huge problem with that. Guilt by association is a sad thing, but valid none the less.

.

So if someone at your job embezzles an assload of money you are just as guilty eh? Capn this isn't even logical thinking buddy.

On a side note I have to say that I laughed my ass off at all the affirmed "religion is crap" members who stopped by to post in this thread. I'm telling you there is some kind of red alert button out there that brings you guys running to comment. 😂

Come on dear, I explained why I have agressive feelings towards the members of the church. Both the ones guilty of crimes, as well as the ones who aren't. When the members of the church's clergy fail to force the hierarchy of the church to do something resounding, they are just as hypocritical as those who go against their vows to live a church centered life. I'm not saying they condone it, but sometimes not acting can be just as damning as acting.

I'm saying that if a guy at work embezzeled money, and I knew about it, then yeah I'd be guilty too.

Not really, you might suffer guilt from not acting to stop it, but you're not guilty.

I'm not guilty if I know a guy is a murderer and don't tell anyone.

About Norway and a cardenal, I think that it depends on the amount of Catholics they have, or other historical reasons.

The brief witch hunt started upthread was great (the one about catholics , and let's say, beds) I mean burn alive those priests but focus in other disgusting things in order to criticize in a way that will last more than a few years (I mean that stain will never be forgotten but others things like just not opposing Nazi regime when they should are just amazing, or things that nowadays are a pain in the ass like not fighting AIDS in Africa just because it's opposed to their beliefs)

BTW as I posted earlier I don't like this one.

But, there are plenty of reports of the innocent people in the situation covering it up, transfering the guity to new parrishes; where in some cases they did these things again. So, my example is dependant on the fact that others know I knew this was going to happen...or was happening.

Well then of course, if they make an active attempt to not stop it, but keep it going.

Great, just what the world needs - anotyher decrepit, out of touch buffoon who will continue to ban contraception in third world countries and oppose abortion and women priests. It was interesting to see a German standing on a balcony in front of hundreds of thousands of devoted followers. Reminded me of someone else......

And anyways everyone is denouncing him before they even give him a chance, I think if the cardinals agreed upon him then he's worth a shot 🙂

Shameless harlot! schmoll

Silva clearly has the hots for the new pope and like totally wants to bang him! smoke

Nah, he's 78, gosh John Paul was 85 when he died, he will only last 10 years at the most. I don't know how he's gonna work out........it won't be the same I don't think

Well, he was in teh Hitler youth when he was a child.

So? The HY was practically compulsory, and the pier pressure would have been immense - how was he to know his leader would grow up to start WWII.

You can't hold that against him at all ❌
