Did you magically in your infinate 19 years of life, just one day decide I think beating women is wrong?
You had to have gotten it from elsewhere, your brain doesn't just develop a right/wrong approach to our world.
Yeah, I did, believe it or not. If my parents raised me to think it was wrong and I wanted to do it, I would. They raised me with the ideal that it's wrong, I could have agreed or disagreed. I chose to agree.
They raised me to believe drugs are wrong, guess what? No go on, guess.

I'm not saying they wouldn't believe it forever, some people really are that stupid.
Anyone with a brain neuron is able to tell that beating women is wrong, and would make the decision to not do it when their mind develops.
Your argument was that if you grow up in an abusive home, you'll grow up to think it's ok. Which is male cow excrement.

They can tell this because of other's influences on them, be it other people or society as a whole. Because otherwise scientifically how can they tell it's wrong? Does the body send out electric current each time they even contemplate it? No, you know it is wrong because of what you are taught as you grow up. Not to mention ages ago, society didn't frown upon it so people thought it was right, again you are a product of environment.
And it's proven, there's a much higher chance for those kids. Obviously some make it out okay.

Because they don't want one that will last too long--most feel like our last Pope was in charge for way too much time

Oh, I don't agree with it at all--I just know that's what the cardinals' thoughts on the matter are.
A local radio station summed it up well: "We don't want to have had only two popes in half a century." In one sense, it sorta makes sense...but, meh 😖

lol well lets hope he dosent dei in the next 5 years otherwise its gonna be the same prosses all over again... every one talkin about it and stuff... even in my school it was a big topic and it got really annoying, we spent one whole social studies/history class discussing it and it was really boring ..... well better than regular class i guess... 😱

I never denied that there were influences to a decision. Like I said, my parents raised me with the ideals that beating a woman is wrong, I could have agreed or disagreed, it was my choice, it wasn't a foregone conclusion.
They raised me to believe drugs were wrong, with the ideal I mean. Guess what? I don't agree with them. Society would have me believe drugs are wrong, guess what?
You don't KNOW what's wrong because of what you are taught when you were growing up. You might believe it until you're old enough to figure out your own decision, but you don't KNOW what's wrong or right.
You're not a product of your environment. An extremely high percentage of people I've met say that me and most of my friends don't come across as East Londoners, despite living here for 19-24 years.
So in summation, no. You're wrong when you say abused kids become abusers. You're wrong when you say being raised to believe something will make you believe it forever.

Why would you disagree if there's so much pressure to agree?
Secondly, not all societies see drugs as wrong, there's now a move to legalise marijuana here in Canada, it's just a reflection of society's changing views.
Is East London bad 😕
Fair argument, but I'm sticking to my own, you don't know something is bad without outside influence. You aren't born and then just develop your morals and beliefs, they have to be built on and expanded. So if you come from an abusive home, but society teaches it is wrong, then it is ultimately up to you, however, I think if you only have the negative you will choose the negative.
We aren't born good 😛

Because if you have a shred of intelligence and independance you'll know that being a sheep is stupid and just about the worst thing you can possibly do.

That's irrelevant. My point was that when you're raised to believe something by either your parents or your environment, it's not definate that you will still go by that, as you are trying to say.
Yes East London sucks, mostly.

You are once again missing my point. You are raised with what are ideals, canvases with things on them. As I was. You can choose to wipe some of them clean and re-write, or you can keep some. You don't automatically believe what you were raised to believe, which is what you were trying to say and you were wrong, admit it.
If you come from an abusive home....but society says it's wrong....you'll have the choice? Do you know of a society that promotes battered females? The point is, you're still wrong. Because even so, it's up to you. I decided against my parents and my society that drugs aren't wrong, I have made many other decision in the same vein. Have there been influences? Yes. Has the decision been mine though? Yes. I believe what I want to believe.
We aren't born evil either. Like Mr. Vachss said, evil is a choice, not a destiny.

My point was, you don't believe anything at all till you're taught something one way or another, and now I'm really tired, god you can wear a girl out 😛
