I mean, John Simms is getting heavy odds form the bookies- it is patently ridiculous.

David Morissey (who would make a good Doctor btw) is in entirely because of his role in the Christmas special this year- and hence is equally nonsense.

I just don't like it if someone who has recently just been in Doctor Who, suddenly becomes the person to play Doctor Who...

Don't forget UK people, Children In Need tonight around 8.30-9.00pm I think, on BBC1 there will be a few minutes special of Doctor Who. It's either the first few minutes of the Christmas special episode or something else, can't quite remember.

What do you guys think of the actor Chiwetel Ejiofor? I read somewhere that a source that is usually right about Doctor Who predictions mentioned that this was the man who might well take the role?

I haven't the slightest idea who that is. Care to fill me in?

I also just realized that I left my small collection of Who episodes back in my dorm... damn.

Its not a popular thing to say on the forums nowadays with a lot of the new fans(and some old) but i dont want a black doctor.
Patterson Joseph is in the running too and i dont think hes right either.
The whole regeneration thing as an excuse for the Doctor to change his colour irks me.
The Doctor has always been a white guy much as Blade has always been Black.
Its too risky to replace Tennant with such impact casting.
There will be a lot of people who will find ANY new doctor hard to get used to and with a new direction coming without Davies,Phil Collinson its not a good idea at all.
I dont want it to happen but i think Tennant leaving despite Moffats talent will be the beginning of the end.
Maybe im wrong and well see a Pertwee era to Baker style transition which works as opposed to the Baker to Davidson JNT days.

It'd be quite a difference from all his past incarnations, to be sure.

I don't think anyone should have to feel in any way out of step to say they do not want a black Doctor. It's not an unrtable position. I wouldn't actually mind Patterson Joseph, based on his performance as the Marquis de Carabas in Neverwhere, but I do worry that once you open the floodgates for big changes in the Doctor then... ahh, I dunno. Female Doctor, non-humanoid Doctor, wibbly ethereal thing Doctor... actually, they came close to that in Last of the Time Lords. Hmm.

Female Doctor, like idiot Davies wants..., would be a terrible idea imo. I don't know the background to the regeneration thing, can he change gender, rules and so on?

Chiwetel Ejiofor would be better than Patterson as the Doctor, better in the acting department by far. Like Vintage though, I would prefer a white actor playing the role, like it has always been.

It was alright; Morissey was good.

He was good but I'm glad he is not the new Doctor though, he was too much for a whole series, one episode's enough. Stay with your son!! 🙂

I enjoyed the Christmas special, an improvement for sure on last years.

Donna was missed 🙁

Vintage - Did indeed see him in SJA, watched the whole series, adore it. Very happy to see the third series will be coming.
