Next Who moment is a little closer than that, as The Doc is turning up in an episode of Sarah Jane Adventures, written by RTD (immediately breaking his promise that he'd never write for Matt Smith) and also featuring the return of former companion Jo Grant.
What with SJA already having had the Brigadier back, it looks like that is where they go crazy on the continuity.

Matt is the 2nd best to play the Doctor. I didnt like Christopher Eccleston at all.
To be honest, I adored Eccleston. Not only was he my first Doctor, but he had some fantastic moments and really made for an ideal character. He could be sweet and fun, but always had a sense of pain and anger.
It's sad that his career has died down so quickly.
David Tennant was obviously incredible, and is generally the only good part of the dreadful fourth season. His presence and sense of fun and wonder really pulled me in.
Matt Smith is extremely good in my opinion. Sure, there were some odd moments with him, but he's just started. In general, he was great as a light-hearted but semi-bipolar/egocentric hero that wants nothing but peace for the universe, despite being out of touch with his social abilities.

Just seen the final two part story and it was not so much of a big bang more like a whimper, looks like the recession has hit the Dr Who budget.Or was it a deliberate low key story? After all the big slam bang thank you mam stories of the past, any how it was alright.
I f'in LOVED the first part, but the second part felt extremely disappointing and anti-epic.

Yeah but Tennant was mediocre in the comedic moments and went too far over the top that it was cringeworthy.
Matt Smith got it just right for that.
As for SJA, fantastic programme for children especially. Need to do more childrens' programmes like this. Full of mostly rubbish the world of childrens television.
