Matt is the 2nd best to play the Doctor. I didnt like Christopher Eccleston at all.

I think Eccleston was okay but they couldn't go too far out with the story lines in the opening series.

Eccleston suffered from the fact that the writers couldn't go too far out with the storylines in the first series.

I love Doctor Who so much. Matt Smith is definitely my favorite doctor from the new series, but I love both Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant as well. The Tenth Doctor had the best episodes.

Favorite episodes: "The Girl in the Fireplace", "Blink" and "Vincent And The Doctor".

Can't wait for series six to start. More jammie dodgers and fezes please!

Red Nose Day next week here in Britain on BBC1 has a mini Doctor Who episode around the 7.00pm mark.

Oo thanks for the heads up! I hope I can find a way to watch it.

I'm sure it will be up on youtube later in the day or the next day.

I cannot wait for April 23rd (next seasons debut), I truly am a fan of Rory and it looks like he's going to have a bigger role in this season, y'know being alive and all lol.

Half of the season will air during the spring, the other half will resume in September. Episode 7 and 8 are a two-parter, but we'll only get to see episode 7 now and then wait until September for episode 8. I suspest there's going to be a major cliffhanger there.

How disappointing on comic relief... might just be me.

It was funny at best.

I really liked it. I had no expectations beforehand so I was just happy to get a wee dose of the Doctor.

I am trying to find a link for the latest Doctor Who trailer that will work for all viewers, because it was very good...

(To avoid confusion, this is the general series trailer, not the preview fore The Impossible Astronaut that came out a week or two back, with Richard Nixon. Which was also intriguing but not as good as this one).

Got it- hope the link holds.
