What was wrong with them in the previous series? what can be done better?

They are just stompy robots in the new series- they have failed to show menace. They are also very low tech versions, coming from a parallel Earth only just ahead of our own. Original cybermen were highly advanced lethal killers that actually had a silent charisma, with only the Leader (and sometimes his Lieutenant) doing verbal sparring with the Doctor. The new ones have not even once shown off their main schtick- super-strength!

Yep saw that earlier in the Radio Times. Quite a lot of images in it.

Also, the Silent have been confirmed. The new Moffett scare of the new series. Seem to have potential, to me at least.

Simul-casting on BBC America this season. I need to order a new cable package to get it, but meh. Small price to pay, I suppose. In just a few short years, this has become my favorite show of all-time.

No, I don't mind spoilers, but this is effectively killing the episode- like blowing the end of Utopia. It's not on.

Bad year for classic Dr Who as we now mark the passing of Elisabeth Sladen. Who was my favourite companion too Jon Pertwee the 3rd Doctor and went on with Tom Baker the 4th Doctor. It was nice to see her return in the new Dr Who.
