If it makes you feel any better, stormfront, both Storm and Cyclops have the leadership skill in X-Men Legends. If they do a combo together the leadership bonus is usually more damage than their original attack.

My favorite unbeatable team was:
Storm
Jean
Iceman
Wolverine
the great thing about storm, jean and iceman is that their defensive abilities apply to the whole team when upgraded to the second level. This makes the team almost unhurtable. Storm also gives leadership, Iceman and Jean are great long range attackers who combo well and Wolverine is the near-invulnerable scrapper.
