considering the location of battle things were not very fair. Plus Yoda knew that palpy was almost equal to him and if he stood there to fight longer he might have taken a wrong step and died. He knew he needed to survive longer to confront obi 1 to talk about what was left for them to do. When he said he failed he ment he failed in general like not seeing palpy was the dark lord. Plus palpy tried to run and that showed all the dark fans that palpy is to pussy to stay and fight.
Seriously though, that just sounds like an excuse. If yoda is this all "powerfull jedi" then why wouldnt he have just pursued the emporer and put a stop to everything. I mean if the emporer died, everything would have been good again. Soudns like the writers were running out of tuime and just wanted to throw yoda into the mix before the film was over.

As for George Previously writing this flick. If that is true, why did he bring outside writers, writers who had very little to do with the Star wars universe. Also, if George had written the 6 movies as one story, then why are there so many inconsistancies and un answered questions through out the prequals?

Even in ROTJ, when Vader and Sids was talking about Luke, Sids said that Luke could destroy them both. Vader stated to Sids that if he could turn him(Luke) "He would be a great ally" Then Sids replies "Yes. He would be a great accet indeed."
Palps had plans of taking over with or withought Anakin. Remember had Maul then Dooku. When he realized Anakin to be young and powerful, and was to be strongest in the future, he found a way to get rid of Dooku(Ani killing him) Then found a way to turn him(By making Ani think the jedi didnt trust him, and telling him that he could teach himhow to save Padme)
To the Emperor, its all about getting the strongest apprentice. Anakin was just a pawn. Like Maul, and Dooku. Everyone should know that.

The Emperor plan's are made with deceive and trickery. I like this way because you don't care about honor nor code of law or anything else; you just manipulate them to your advantage.
As for the duel with Windu, when i watch it, i almost felt for the trick but then i realize it was just a insidious treachery and perfectly well acted by Sidious. He's just so High and magnificient and talented Dark Lord. I'm not the one who feel he was weak nor inferior to him on the contrary. In my eyes he prove to be superior to Windu. He dispatch 3 of his best allies(all master Jedi) in few seconds then sensing Anakin was coming; he executed his plan to bring an undecided Anakin to his side, thus he finally succeeded but Windu Fail. I believe Sidious Will have no problem to kill Windu. As for Yoda they are both equal although Sidious might be a little more stronger in the force imo.
