I merely used Halo as an example and you know that. You were the one that likened a military battle simulation to Halo simply because they both utilize first person views.

Oh you didn't... You went on to say like halo.... Did anyone claim that training on halo made you a soldier??? nope....

You were the one who likened Operation Flashpoint to Halo.

Wow. Once again. YOU were the one who brought wikipedia links into this.

You made a comment, With a big inaccuracy.. Deal with it...

Where is the inaccuracy? You can't play a military video game and expect to be trained for war just like you can't pretend to be a fighter in movies and expect to be trained for combat.

You mentioned halo.... I said Operation flashpoint was an FPS LIKE halo... So there was a link, regardless of what system its on..

I used a wiki link to show you that the millitary (who know more about this then you...) seem to think you can train with video games... You tried to sum up all the info on the millitary on wiki...

But your biggest flaw... Is that Bruce was a fighter BEFORE he became an actor... Just like george was fighter before he was a chief...

"So having a first person view makes it identical to an X-Box video game? ❌"

I also used a wikipedia article to show you that the military( who know more about this than you...) DON'T consider these battle simulations ,that you so casually refer to as video games, an integral part of their training.

The biggest flaw in your argument is that Bruce has no evidence for actually fighting before, during, or after his acting career. George has fights. Ali has fights. However, Bruce is lacking in the aforementioned area.

By the way, I noticed that this argument has gone astray from the topic. The military argument really has no bearing on Ali vs Lee. Understand that I used the analogy purely as an analogy and I did not mean to digress from the true debate. May we get back to Lee vs Ali?

Huh??? So why are the military investing in the creation of this tech if they arn't going to use it???

Stop trying to twist your way out of this.... Your analogy was flawed.. Thats why I picked up on it...

So anyone who doesn't fight in the public eye isn't a very good fighter then??? ❌
This is the only moot point ali fans have here.. That bruce didn't fight in the public eye....

Shouldn't a fighter be judged by.....his fighting ability? With Bruce not having any fights, it's hard to believe that he'd win against an actual proven fighter.

a fighter who only ever fought 1 type of fighting style (boxing).... did ali ever not fight someone in the ring??

Because it's a training aid 😂 "Boards do not fight back", but they are a training aid 😂

If a pilot can spend more time in a simulator then in a plane trainning, could a soldier not do the same?? Possibly not right now But maybe in the future...

And them not fighting back! LOL! think about that! the targets never fight back when they train! they don't use live amunition except for on the firing range... Which could be perfectly simulated! 😆

"perfectly simulated", The fear and element of risk are not present, the same for fighting and in fact anything physical. Don't you know about ranges of excitation and stress response. I don't suppose you have ever heard of the U shaped stress relaxation curve. Thats why "simulation" and "practice" can only ever be "simulation" and practice no matter how "real" it seems. A "training" match is only a training match. A "simulator" is only a "simulator", you mess up you walk away.
It's the same in any contact sport 😆. Simulators are a cheap way of "practising". Even at millions of dollars pilots and planes walk away. Thats why the technology for practise without "live" ammo means it's always "training".

😆 look up "stress response", "simulator", "training U curve", "Zones of excitation/ relaxation", "principles of training", "self realisation actualisation" etc 😂

great... so you agree with me that the army could use computer games to train... Congratz

Still not seeing any "boards fighting back"...

over compensating with the laughing smilies??? me thinks soo...

Chuck Norris would win this fight.

Not exactly, training will never be the same as the "real" thing.

well then... They are never going to get the real thing till they go on the missions.. So the training in games will help then...

Congrats on nothing there whirly...

So you see Style Times point then that training is not the real thing. Good, he's right, you're wrong simple really.

So your telling me that they are never going to get any real trainning till they go into action...

"training will never be the same as the "real" thing."

While at the same time game training is just as good as the standard trainning they get...

Thats why the technology for practise without "live" ammo means it's always "training".

Well done.. You agreed with me...

Style said you couldn't play Computer games and be ready for war... Which you have agreed you could...

So your either wrong with me and styles right.. Or correct with me and styles wrong...

You can never be ready for war! I never said a video game could get you ready for it! Please show me the post. Read some first World War Poetry he's right!

Survivors

No doubt they'll soon get well; the shock and strain
Have caused their stammering, disconnected talk.
Of course they're 'longing to go out again,' —
These boys with old, scared faces, learning to walk.
They'll soon forget their haunted nights; their cowed
Subjection to the ghosts of friends who died,—
Their dreams that drip with murder; and they'll be proud
Of glorious war that shatter'd all their pride...
Men who went out to battle, grim and glad;
Children, with eyes that hate you, broken and mad.

Craiglockhart. October, 1917.

You really are young 🙁

Nice attempt at dodging!!! Twisting my words so you could go off on some random tangent...

Yes.. War is a terrible thing.. Blah blah... thats not the point whirly...

On a side note... If I'm young what does that make you??? Apart from a hypocrite??
