One against MR.T....Whirly...Even more hypocritical statements! your the one who backpats people who slander me!! please answer my question...
Did you agree with me and style was wrong... Or were you wrong with me and style was right???
more personal attacks, I agreed with a statement. Style is right all the training in the world never prepares you for the real thing, it's always a step up.

Ali has fought under more than just boxing rules by the way.

Another twist to get out of admiting your wrong... 😉

To be truthfully honest, I am not sure about his fights outside of the ring. However, no real evidence exists of Bruce fighting at all. Taking this into account, I will give the advantage to the person who has actually fought against other fighters.Ali has fought under more than just boxing rules by the way.
Exactly Unless the Fight was televised you don't know about it... Bruce never fought in the limelight... Bruce has several fights that we know about.. all have been talked about... And your assuming that the fight would take place in a ring now.. Under boxing conditions? perhaps we could tie bruces arms together aswell???
LOL at the pic! chuck is just too funny! Where did you get that from??

Bruce fights are rumors and hearsay. People claim he was killed by mythical kung fu masters because he exposed the secret of eastern arts to westerners. Are we going to believe that just because people say it? Ali has proof of his abilities.
I just saw the Chuck thing saved to my computer. I must have found randomly a while back.
Please don't bring in the bruce myths... I know this gives you the op to say everything is a myth about bruce... Buts its obviously flawed.. Bruce didn't get that much support cause he could create good bedtime stories..
Bruces fights and demos were enought to win over some of the highest ranking belts in marshal arts.. He wasn't some amature who came along and did a neat trick... (like whirly would have your believe)
They saw that he was better then them... And they came to him for trainning...

nope he wasn't an "amature" anything. 😂 please give evidence of something to support your claims. Bruce Lees one fight is part of this thread 😂
If he beat Sifu Wong in Private why wouldn't he face him in public? Answer he didn't beat him. Jackman was at work the next day with no visible bruises. 😂
The one recorded fight he had, he lost everyone who was there except his wife and two friends admit Wong put him in "headlocks" 3 times. "Headlocks" 😂 great martial arts skill there!! It's good for sorting out tiny men though!!!
Wow, This thread is STILL going strong.... 🤨
Common guys. In or out of a ring, if Ali hit Bruce once with one good shot Bruce is out cold. Martial artist's are not used to being hit like boxers are. And Ali COULD hit Lee quite handily, Ali was no slouch in speed and reflexes to say the least.
Ali has been rated as the the best Athlete in any sport. I watched a whole thing on PPV about it a while back. A good deal of people agree, Ali was the most dominating in any sport. Even over people like Wayne Gretzky. And we never saw Ali during the peak of his prime, so we never even really saw Ali at his best. Thanks to all that crap he went through.

do you think bruce would go toe to toe with ali? i dont think so.
bruce would find a way to immobilise him. probably by kicking him
Are you brain dead, lol. How? all it takes its for Ali to get inside one of Bruces "kicks" and hit him once. Kicks are notoriously easy to get inside of. I know, I do take martial arts. I used to box. Ali wins this with little to no injury. Enough to take out his famous fake comb and fake comb his hair after.

agreed!
Bruce Lee wins
All else being equal, the smaller man has the advantage of speed, maneuverability, and he is simply a smaller target.
Ali is trained to use his fists, period. Lee has fists, open hands, etc, plus feet, knees, elbows, head.
Boxing does not train your mind the way martial arts does, not to the same extent.
Ali is not of the mindset to hit below the belt. Even if he were, it is not likely he would, for example, be able to punch out Lee's knee. Bruce, on the other hand, sees any point on the body as a target.
The advantage of boxing over martial arts is that it is more quickly mastered. The advantage of martial arts over boxing is that--given some of the reasons noted above--in the long run it is deadlier.

Mindship my friend please read back through the thread.
I have one question for you. Why do we have weight divisions, if little guys are so tough?

Bruce realised this... And spent most of his time trainning against boxers! he realised the strength of boxing and learned to use it to his advantage... He trainned against many... Took up the same trainning routines and learned to fight effectively against them..
Has ali ever shown the ability to beat anyone other then a boxer? could he fight without a break every 3 mins??? 😆

Yes Inoki! of course he could fight for more than 3 mins, he wouldn't need to though.

88 pages!?! sick Sir W, have mercy.
All else being equal, a bigger guy will beat the little guy. The Brucemeister was just so incredibly versatile a fighter, IMO he has more than enuff stuff to compensate.
Not saying it will be easy. I have tremendous admiration for Ali, both as a fighter and a person...but I just don't see him winning this.
I'll concede this much: Bruce wins 7, maybe 6, outta 10.
P.S. I think at least one of them shoulda been included in your sig pic.

I've only ever seen him fight on telly, which is more than most people have ever seen Lee fight. Afterall he would not fight Wong in public..........
I wonder why he refused to fight Wong in public!
[Q]Isn't it funny that more than 30 years after his death he is still one of the most known martial artiest in the world.[/Q]
And James Dean is still one of the most celebrated actors in the world mainly because he died and left this sort of unfinished legacy. Just like with any actor or celebrity who dies in their youth, Bruce continues to be popular because of the legend. If he had continued to live somebody would eventually started calling him out and, just like almost every other fighter who ever thought they were indestructible (I think he knew he was hype), he very likely would have eventually gotten beat (quickly I suspect). And he KNEW this anyway. Which is why he never put his rep on the line and fought in the ring.
It's worth noting that Joe Lewis became disgruntled with Bruce partly because he felt that he was the one who was out there in the ring while Lee was sitting all snug in the sidelines claiming that he was responsible for Joe's victories. He said that Bruce made a big deal about people throwing his name around while he himself would use Joe's name to prop himself up as this great teacher.
