USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE III (JEDI)- Revelations

You return, hurriedly, to that treatment room, your force senses hearing the pain and anguish within.

But no sounds this time- they must have introduced some soundproofing.

The room is guarded by one of the Twi'Lek nurses- and Kathya.

Andro sneaks around the area, evading detection, and gets to the room that Gallagher saw Varm emerge from. Using his Force sense to make sure the room is clear, he enters.

It's all clear.

This room is very spartan- just a bed, a large dresser, and a cupboard.

Andro takes a quick look around Varms nearly empty quarters, and starts searching. He goes to the cupboard first, and takes a quick look to see if there might be some sort of security device, or just something that might be out of place if the cupboard is disturbed. He's in a hurry, but he doesn't want to be sloppy.

(Andro will look carefully through the cupboard, trying to put anything he moves back where he found it. He'll repeat the process with the dresser, and even the bed.)

No, nothing particularly odd... in fact nothing of interest at all...

... until you open the dresser draw and find the dead body inside. The icy shock makes you recoil physically.

(Oh good lord! You're kidding! Just reading that actually gave me chills!)

Andro jumps back a good three feet upon his gruesome discovery. He steps back to the dresser, pulling out his comlink as he does. He switches the comlink to call Gallagher as he begins to inspect the body.

"Scroop! Scroop, come in! If you can hear me, Stay away from Varm! I just found a dead body up here in Varm's room. Call security and get them up here now."

While waiting to see if Galagher replies, Andro goes back to searching the body, to see if there's any way he might identify it. (I'll bet it's the real Varm)

(Oh crap, I just realised something. Andro will take a second to make a very careful Sense check on the hallway outside.)

The body is of interstellar businessman Deel Twain.

You are out of synch with Gallagher, so he goes through what he is doing first.

Oh, and there is someone coming.

(Poor Deel.)

Andro senses someone's approach, so he quickly and quietly moves to stand beside the door. He hopes to get the drop on anyone who comes through.

Footsteps come close to the door...

... when you notice you haven't closed the draw!

(Yeah, I didn't bother. If it's the occupant, they won't be happy to see me here no matter how much I know.)

Andro centers himself, ready for a confrontation.

The steps approach the door, and stop. They press the entry button and the door slides open...

Andro silently goes into a fighting stance. He's ready for anything.

For a moment, nothing.

Music- The Chase Through Coruscant

... and then the tinkling as a metal cylinder rolls into the room, spewing out a white jet of gas a moment later!

(Well, I guess that would have been a good reason to shut the drawer.)

Andro immediately holds his breath, and charges throught the open door intent on knocking down anyone in his path.

It's not a person blocking your path you find, but gunfire!

Varm, just down the corridor, wearing a filter mask, has the door covered, and only your Jedi senses prevent you walking straight into the gunfire.

Even for a Jedi, there's no way through the door without being blasted down. His fire is accurate and all goes through the doorway. flying diagonally across the room and burning holes in the wall above the bed.

(Well, how long can Andro hold his breath? I'd like to wait for Varm to come in after me. Or, would going out the window be an option?)

You can hold you breath for quite a long time, actually.

But not long enough- and without your sabre you can't get out the door!

The windows are an option, yes...

That bastard! So much for his peaceful Priest cover, if he's pulling guns on Andro and tossing gas at him.

Andro, as much as you're going to hate doing this, try to take Deel's body with you. Poor Deel, Varm probably knocked him off for introducing us to him. Otherwise, Varm could hide it elsewhere and then we won't have evidence against him.

Meanwhile, on Gallagher's end...

"Zaland, what do you think of Kathya?" Gallagher says. "Does she look murderous to you, as Varm did?"

"I based my judgment of Varm by watching him play that hockey game," says Zaland. "Hard to judge someone not in action. But she has sharp eyes, to look at her. Always watching."

Sadly, the absolute last thing Andro needs at this point is to carry a dead body with him!

Damn. Is there a way that Andro can cast out the gas cylinder, to at least give him some breathing room? Gallagher would want Andro to make Varm think he leapt out the window so that Varm would enter, and then proceed to be flung about by Andro's superior combat skills. Give that a try, Andro, cast something through the window and make it seem that you're not present any longer. If that fails, go out the window yourself.

"I would not wish to give her a chance to show you," Gallagher says to Zaland.

Gallagher will approach the door that the Abbott is behind, nodding in greeting to the nurse, then to Kathya.

"I just wanted to apologize, miss," Gallagher says, approaching Kathya. "You seem to mistake me for a murderer and killer who would seek the Abbott's death. I merely wanted to talk to him about joining the Synod. Since Varm explained that he was a Priest, I have been reading up on it. I find it quite to my liking!"
