Iceman (full potential) vs. Superman

I see so teleporting is transferring his conciousness through bodies of water, please explain the mechanism by which this teleportation is supposed to take place, where doses his physical mass go? Another Dimension? how is the consciousness transeferred? Astral Plane? Psions? Another undefined mechanism? 😄 Please explain further 😄

I edited my above post. And he can transfer his consciousness through bodies of water/water vapour. That's how he 'teleports'.

What if heat or electrical energy is used to split apart the molecules comprising his "vapor" form. Supes is far more intelligent than bobby scientifically and can do this if he had to.

This would all have to happen at speeds that bobby doesn have.

Bobby freezes things instantly. He can freeze Superman faster than Superman can....what would Superman do the Bobby?

Xmark just now explained teleportation.

What good is "instant" when Supes can move many times faster than Bobby can think? Bobby would be standing still while supes does any combination of attacks.

Superman's heat vision can't affect things at an atomic level. It's heat vision, not a particle accelerator

It's psionic. It's been theorized that most powers in the Marvel Universe is psionically-driven. Bobby's consciousness exists separately from an actual body, as a psionic form. He can psionically locate any body of water molecules and become that.

I'm going to use the same argument that Superman forum supporters use to explain the mishmash of powers he has - he just does. Off the record I don't think either of the characters can really win but Superman's got enough supporters he doesn't need me. This thread has gone on way too long 😂

Point being that no combination of attacks would work, because they would all be physical. Superman would most likely use heat vision and melt Bobby. Then he'd think, "Hunh, that was easy", and start to fly away when suddenly...flash freeze.

Think Hulk vs. Onslaught. Hulk smashes, alright. But then what?

Oh. Clever logic.

So as your a scientist demigawd please explain to me; how psions, sub atomic particles teleport? Where does his physical mass go? 😄 How do the psions teleport? Is it like teleportaion through creation of duplicate particles identical to the original? Please explain his powers further?

So if bobby is indestructable, how has he lost before?

Before his evolution to his current state? Umm... because he wasn't in his current state.

Better yet, how does he handle having his vapor being reduced to their separate molecules? His consciousness cant be everywhere at once.

His physical mass doesn't exist as it is. It becomes whatever body he occupies. So it doesn't *go* anywhere - it's in everything. There was an issue of X-men where Bobby became the entire room, but was completely invisible. As for how teleporting works, I imagine it's the same as how any long distance teleporter works - you psionically envision a destination and then transfer your psionic consciousness to that location and occupy the vapor.

Now, as for how he's able to turn that back into flesh and blood in his human form, well, that's comic book logic. 🙂

no he really didn't what happens to the physical mass? Come on please explain😄

as far as i know he cant turn back. after his second mutation he's stuck in this icy state

His consciousness isn't everywhere at once - it's centrally located, and when his body is dispursed, his consciousness just becomes disembodied, similar to, say, the Shadow King. While disembodied, he can still use his powers, which is why he can fight while effectively body-less, also similar to the Shadow King.

He hasn't been really fully tested since his most recent power up because he's remained a background character, but the only time I've seen him put down was against psionics, and Polaris was, I believe, able to wrest control of his water molecules away from him.

So his physical mass simply stops existing totally, instantly, this is why I stopped posting on this thread 😂

Keep the faith 😛

Stay Whirly😄

What part of that explanation is extremely amusing to me? Answers in a paper entitled, "Mass can vanish totally, instantly without a trace except subatomic particles without an energy release" 😂

As a bored scientist demigawd that should keep you busy 😛

True, and it's currently unknown if that's a mental limitation, or because now that he's effectively in a mass of water vapor that wasn't originally his body, if he can never become flesh again.

Water molecules have weak polarity. So I can see why Polaris can affect them.

His mass isn't "vanishing", we're assuming that Superman used his heatvision to evaporate him, in which case he becomes water vapor. So Bobby has just converted state, not disappeared. his consciousness is unaffected by this, however.
