Didn't help in the scan I posted. A complete chrono stop of Superman, so much that ice even overtook him as the molocules came to a halt. It barely slowed him down. Keep up.

Actually his internal systems are constantly splitting atoms, not a good idea for Iceman to be using the water there. Thanks to Juntai's post. Hydrolysis could occur constantly.

sure superman got out of that, but unlike that child iceman at his peak can't be beaten by physical punishment, and holding onto him could result in a similar lowering of superman's body temperature all over again. subsequent lowering then heightening of his body temperature "should" tax superman over time. and the seemingly 0k (or near to it) temperatures peak iceman can achieve imo would be detrimental to superman's physiology, especially his precious stomach.

Supes cells can hydrolyse water without things like ATP. His insides are like a star with their energy levels, and his body is constatly splitting atoms to make energy.
