Actually yes Johny can manipulate such energies, he did it to beat Graviton and in a fight with terminus. He is not magneto when it comes to EM energy, but he does control energy from UV-Infrared in the spectrum. And Superman is just too low class to be a threat to the FF. I mean Abraxas let the Ff know he was coming to kick there ass by sending Galactus' skull to Earth and they didnt even get worked up from that, i dont think they're going to intimidated by a guy in costume from 1920.

Hey, I'm just sayin':
Reed has already built the machine. It's canon material. It's one of the instances in which Gladiator displays his faster than light speed. It's not like I made it up, they actually have a machine that slows down time.
Maybe in a half hour Reed can modify it so that it slows down time around them rather than giving the 2 weeks, and in effect slow Supes to a crawl and figure something out.
Either that or Supes punches through their heads. 😄
The F4 aren't going to be able to overpower him. Half an hour's probably not enough time for Reed to make anything decent. So I have to give this one to Supes. Give him a day Supes can probably still pull off a win. Give him a week Reed and Superman are at a stalemate. Give him a fortnight (maybe less) and Reed's probably invented a Superman nullifier. At which point Johnny fries Superman, while Sue suffocates him.
Reed built a machine that switched Johnny and Sues powers in only a few minutes...in his enemy's lab. He can work outside of time as long as he wants, there r no limits. When the Thing's skin was duplicating itself and probably going to destroy the Earth Reed discussed his problem with thousands of Reeds through the multiverse, one of them was even integrated into some kind of hive mind like the supreme intelligence or quasimodo. Reed's brain and resources r so far beyond Superman that he isnt even a remote threat.
The FF dont need prep. Do u realize Invisible Woman can turn objects invisible? Superman cannot fight an invisible FF. IW could also turn his retinas invisible and blind him. Then Clark is helpless to getting his ass kicked. A force field could also prevent Supes from escaping the fight. No kryptonite necessary.
no without prep they just have to take advantage of IW abilities and then kick Supe's ass.
If the FF's hands r bound behind their backs...and they r drugged and unconscious...and Supes gets a week of prep then he wins.
I know how the DC fans love to construct situations where Supes can beat the FF by removing their resources.

Reed was able to build the machine so fast because he had already known that he could SWITCH powers within the four FF members, but he couldn't take them away.
FF don't need prep? When Superman could kill 3/4 of them outright? He's faster than thought. Do you know what that means?
He would blitz Johnny before he could say "Flame On!!", he could KO Sue before she could even think of putting up a bubble, and he could freeze/melt Reed before he even knew what hit him. Grimm would last about 3 minutes or 10 seconds, depending if Supes wanted to throw him into space--or just pound the crap out of him.
He's no stranger to invisible combatants (White Martians anyone?), and it's not like anyone in the FF doesn't need to breathe--he'd just use his hearing to pick up their heartbeat/breathing. Then he'd take 'em out--even if he was blinded he could still use his hearing to guide him.
IW forcefield holding Superman? Mebbe for a few seconds, then IW would have to let him free from the strain. Then she'd get crushed.
Supes wins 8-9/10. they only get 30 mins. and that isn't nearly enough.
Also, that's pretty cheesy saying Reed would use his time machine to get a week of prep --the topic creator gave them 30 mins and 30 minutes only.
