He's staggered by the attack, not defeated. He could have easily blocked it with a force-field. Do you have the next page?

Surfer could spihon Superman's energy, and do a lot of damage to him. Energy siphoning bullets made Energy Supes scream.

Ummm someone correct me if im wrong, but that blasts wasnt a planet destroying blast.

Surfer said - " Though your blast could reduce an entire world to a SMOLDERING cinder."

All that means is the blast would turn a planet into a giant "hot box".

IT would only heat up the planet. Not destroy it.

Surfer than says - " It cannot harn one who has basked in the GLOW of a thousand SUNS!"

No one posted the page after Supes got hit with the energy bullets.

That scan didnt really show anything. What happened after the bullets hit?

Cube Cube...old buddy... Lets not forget Supes advanced and learned during his run. Those bullets did scare him from the scan, but we have no clue what happend it the following pages. Once again, our buddy KG only has shown us nothing but a cryptic clue with a comic panel.

Lets not forget, once again, that Cyborg DID trap him in a machine made specifically to syphon all the energy in Superman, and got Supes red and Supes blue. This was obviously after the "bullet" scare as I shall call it.

Supes absorbs energy from his environment much quicker than Surfer, so draining is out of the question in more than one way.

Smoldering cinder - A peice of wood or coal that burns without a flame.

In the comics case, a burning world or planet without a flame. 😄

Cyborg tried to disperse Superman's energy, not siphon it.

We've never seen Superman weakened, and then suddenly become replenished from the environment. Why do you suppose he absorbs energy more quickly?

Cinders are smaller than planets.

There's a different definition for the word 'cinder' in comics? 🤨
