Well that's becasue DC don't want to punk Supes or CM. I can see why being they are two of the oldest characters in comics.

I consider CM close to Supes but not his equal.

The only edge i give Supes over him is experience. Besides that, id consider them exact equals.

And you also have a mind controlled Superman and a Captain Marvel holding back and not wanting to hurt him examples.

I'll agree Billy has the strength and durability feats that puts him on Supes level.

But what about speed? Supes is way above him more feats.

Cap doesnt have that many speed feats thbat i know of. Then again, i dont own many CM comics. However the best showing i found was him global writing.

Also in the Batman Supes/Hawkman Cap fight, Cap speedblitzed Supes so fast, Supes didnt see him or hear him coming.

Then we have powerset. Supes has all of his vision powers, super hearing and freeze breath while CM has lighting which isn't directly used as a weapon anyways.

Cap has the super hearing as well just not as good as Supes. Also, it may not be freeze breath, but he can blow powerful winds. 🙁

Naw it wasnt from behind. It was pretty straight forward. But yea after seeing how the heat vision had no effect, Supes tossed Cap away to Bats for the switch.

Eclipso makes everyone more vicious. Lois Lane when mindcontrolled by him was able to punch Kal without breaking her hands. Wouldnt this suggest enchanting stats?

This happened as i reckon in Loebs initial part of the run.

About if he used Supermans powers besides flight and strenght, you have the issue in question? Thats the part im not sure.

He has more feats, but thats to be expected, he has four monthly titles. CM is overall in level equal to Superman. Supes its faster, Marvel is more durable, Strenght about the same. They both have advantages over the other.

Speed only, its the same with WW. Close. Flash has encountered CM when going against Felix Faust (wherebouts after the 100th Flash issue) and was unless my memory fails surprised with his speed.

Im not disputing that. However it wasnt from behind and Supes didnt hear him coming. Thats all im trying to bring up. He did know it was him after the hit though.

don't forget, martian manhunter gave cm all he could handle, and he only fought him physically. cm would have probably won the fight, but a distraction and mm very nearly ko'd him.

i think cm has great showings against supes, but against everyone else that is acknowledged as supes' inferiors, he battles them to draws or stalemates. it's one of the reasons i think their histories need to be taken into account when they fight each other.

i'm with snoop -- overall supes has the slightest of edges on cm.
