I'm actually amazed that you know so much about this stuff.I know about this stuff because my degree is in cyber security and child porn is a big subject covered in Cyber Security: we are the "lucky" individuals that have to collect the digital forensics for the prosecutors so we also have to be intimately familiar with the CP laws.
So my question is, how do you know so much about cyber law? 😄
Someone in my college course was arrested for downloading.
One of his offenses was the downloading of drawn child pornography.
Weird times. But the guy was a total weirdo anyway. To illustrate the point it was his mom who gave his hard drive to the police as evidence.

The laws should protect people from each other, but do no more. If no one was harmed in the making of and wanking to drawn images (that includes 3d stuff), then there should be no law against it: let the people do what they want.
Well I think it's more of a deterrence than anything else right?
Like when you developed an interest in women it didn't start with the thought 'I want to put my pee-pee in her pee-pee'
Curiosity first, then you find out you like it, then the urge grows.
I totally understand it's a little different, but apparently most governments think it's close enough.
