The Official BLEACH series Thread

Gin waited a hundred years to do a fail plan. And Starrk? This is news to me. mmm

Yamamoto is pretty stupid really. Ukitake I'll grant you.

Edit: Been reading through this thread. You guys are ranking the girls in terms of hotness/cuteness. Do so again.

During his fight Starrk displayed the best analytical skills in the series so far. Dunno if that actually makes him book smart, but he is most certainly brilliant in his own right.

Post my old ranking.

And the hottest guy list that I made if you can. mmm

More of a keen eye mixed with a dash of common sense. Never seemed *that* smart to me.

I don't see it.

Find it.

If I can. Why not just make another?

Also, it's really funny reading the comments around the time Gin stabbed Aizen. That small ray of hope in your hearts was ripe for crushing. Glorious really.

As opposed to Hitsugaya who charged straight at Aizen while foaming at the mouth, in the lulziest moment of the series by far.
Plan that fails due to reality warping-object hax > no plan.
He's smarter than Hitsugaya as far as I can remember.

His intelligence was commented on by Aizen, and it wasn't a taunt.
Also, Unohana should be up there as well, and she's very sharp at the least.
We could even make a case for Ginjo and Tsukishima. The former is IMO much smarter than Hitsugaya.

One could argue that Aizen's analysis and overcoming of Shinji's illusion casting was better.

Ginjo is certainly smarter than Hitsugaya.

The only reason his plan failed is because the entire Gotei 13 came out of nowhere and gave Ichigo a portion of their powers to give him back his Shinigami powers.

Aka shit he could not plan for.

Indeed. Sasuke also has a habit of charging at his opponent like that. Still a smart guy.

Not really. Hitsugaya had somewhat of a plan that depended on teamwork. Gin...didn't. He had a plan but chose the funniest moment to enact it.

His intelligence also concluded that the best thing to do about Aizen was not nuke him the minute he walked into Karakura town. And nah about her. Ginjo...eh. Personally I found his plan to be kinda retarded. Why not just let Tsukishima stab everyone and be done with it?

When has Hitsugaya done anything intelligent?

All he really does is spam his Bankai because he is a massive pussy without it (And is still mostly one with it).

Ginjo basically did have Tsukishima stab everyone, lol.

The battle with the Espada 6 guy who wasn't a dickhead(Luppi?) showed his intelligence nicely. What with him waiting for the right moment to kick arse. His Ice Clone trick wasn't too bad either.

Mind you, that is a good thing. Characters like Shinji and Shinsui, who didn't bother trying to use Bankai, look all the more stupid when Aizen severed their spines.

Except Ichigo. Who is really the only person he would have needed to stab.

It was more luck on Hitsugaya's side that Luppi didn't just got straight for the kill: which he could very well have done. The ice-clone wasn't really impressive especially since he could only use it once; that doesn't make a whole lot of sense considering his powers.

Well Shinsui didn't need to use his bankai and admits that it'd be kind of dangerous around allies. Shinji doesn't have an excuse though.

I do wonder why Ichigo wasn't the very first person he attacked though.

Strategy man.

So is Aizen. 🙂

Because Ginjo wouldn't have considered that fun.

You mean he could not plan for SS coming to save Ichigo because Ichigo saved the entirety of creation? Yeah, there's no way that SS would have come to help Ichigo when Ginjo was a rampaging, former Substitute Shinigami.

It actually makes no sense why Ginjo would NOT thinkg about SS interfering with his plans. He even made mention of considering soul society because his goal was to convince Ichigo to go AGAINST SS due to their "control" via the badges.

Bam.

Stupid writing.

Bam.

Ginjo is now much stupider than you realized.

Bam.

Bam.

Bam.

Fart.

Except unlike Hitsugaya, Sasuke is capable of impressive planning against intelligent opponents, on multiple occasions.

He was counting on back up. That's not a plan. If you wish to classify it as a plan, it was less than shitty.
Gin didn't need team work, and was the only person apart from Aizen himself, who knew the weakness of the most broken weapon in Bleach-verse. That alone puts him beyond Hitsugaya. 313

Why attempt to nuke him at the beginning and kill everyone else present when there's a chance that his underlings could stop him, or at the very least, weaken him? Why attempt to nuke him at the beginning and kill everyone else present only to find out that Aizen had used Kyoka Suigetsu? His plan was to get Aizen into a position where KS could be neutralized. He succeeded, but failed to kill Aizen because Aizen in turn neutralized Ryujin Jakka.

Yeah, Unohana was able to tell that something was amiss with "Aizen's" body. So she is sharp.
Uh, he did have Tsukishima stab everyone? The first half of his plan was to gain Ichigo's trust and then his power, which he succeeded in. It is still much better than any intelligence feat from Hitsugaya which so far amounts to suspecting Gin, outsmarting Luppi and asspulling a technique to avoid death.

Hehe, prolly the best post by killermover that did not want to make you laugh and facepalm yourself.

What could he do to plan for that?

Luppi is a massive dickhead. And I do not remember that fight. And the Ice Clone? Lol, **** that shit, that was lame as ****.

Shinji is a dickbag yes, but Shunsui had an explicit reason for not doing so. Because it would be too dangerous.

Ginjo spared Ichigo as an act of mercy.

Not the point. Frothing at the mouth with anger doesn't reflect intelligence. 😛

Teamwork in itself is a good plan of action, regardless of how on the fly it is. He froze *Aizen's foot* and made it possible for the others to get hits in. That is strategically sound.
Except for him waiting until Aizen himself had the most powerful weapon in the Bleach verse to do anything about it. Gin *had* a good plan I suppose but the shittiest timing ever. Mind you, he should have just told on Aizen.

Nuke him was just something I said on the fly. Instead of trapping Aizen and co, why not just blow them up? It could have been KS either way. It didn't matter. Let the captains deal with the Espada while he fights Aizen.

She is a good doctor. 😮
Except Ichigo, the only person I would have bothered having him stab.

Less of one. And eh...if he had it.

Aizen was probably more dangerous than his Bankai.

Here's an idea: Flip Ginjo and Tsukishima's roles in the story they fabricated. Both probably would have gotten out alive.

Indeed. Neither does failing a well-made plan because of hax and PIS. 😛

Ah, okay. Will retract my statement about the plan being shitty as I forgot about that. Still not impressive though.

He had no option but to wait given how paranoid and prepared Aizen was for anything, never mind waiting to find out the sole weakness of the most broken weapon around and figuring out a way to kill a Shinigami who was still exceptionally powerful without said weapon.
You see Aizen waving KS around like a flag for no reason any time before he got powered up by the Hogyoku and became an extremely overconfident douchebag? Instead of withdrawing his sword, he let Gin hold on to it.
He had to kill Aizen personally. Doubt SS would have allowed Gin to kill him.

His plan was to get Aizen into a position where KS could be neutralized. He succeeded. There would be no point in nuking someone and sacrificing your entire crew if your enemy could just avoid it without a scratch.

Doctors aren't intelligent? 😛
Then how would Ginjo have gotten Ichigo pushed to the point where he wanted power more than anything else?
