The Official BLEACH series Thread

I liked this chapter. Simple and not a lot of billshitting around.

I didn't mind dude's transformation as a whole, but those boots are terrible.

Also lol@Ichigo shitting on Ishida.

So....Uryu's even more fodderish that we believed. And those boots are not fabulous at all.

Though the best part was Ichigo throwing Nel at Orihime.

And....damn is Rukia small or what?!

Or rather, he's supposed to be less.

Speculation- of the five special opponents mentioned, one is Uryu, one is Uryu's dad.

Yes?

So who's stronger, Ichigo's dad or Uryu's dad?

We have no clue on the latter's powers other than the standard arrows and stuff and the only person he beat was a Hollow.

But if I had to guess based on context, Isshin should be stronger imo.

Well I guess that's one way of looking at it. But if Ichigo could shrug Uryu's attack off like an after-though, then that's kind of embarrising.

Which makes me wonder why they're trying to kill Ichigo off instead of capture him since he's supposed to be "Special".

I like how the Shinigami are running around even though it was stated in the Fake Karaku arc that foot soldiers can't do shit in an actual conflict.

Oh, none of the main characters outside of Ichigo have had any real combat potential for some time.

Killing's easier than capturing and Ichigo is likely to fight back against capturing anyway.

The main thing is eliminating him as war potential to the enemy. They don't expect that he'd be interested in joining.

Heck, in Soul Society Chad handled what was apparently a significant chunk of 11th Company, a specifically battle company, on his own without injury or problem.

Mooks seem to serve no purpose aside from killing of very minor hollows and the eventual production of officers. Seriously, no-named ninja are like 10 times as valuable in combat.

That's why I asked. If there was evidence I would've had this thing figured out already. I'm more interested in people's preconceptions as developed by the series as a whole.

I'm actually thinking that they're equals, especially now when it's revealed that Uryū is special. Though I'm leaning towards Ryūken for preference. If Isshin still has the power to use Final Getsuga Tenshō, then I'd place my two cents on him, but since he didn't use it against Aizen I doubt he can.

Also, does Yuroichi have a Zanpakutō? I've not seen her with sword in hand, no pun intended.

She had one in flashback. Dunno if she still has it. Probably.

And having bankai is a captain requirement. So she *should* not only have one, but have bankai too.

Yourichi is most likely just saving her zanpukto for a rainy day i.e. the upcoming battle. though that would bring up the question of why she didn't use it against Aizen...

and as for Isshin, maybe he really is as strong as he was before, but as for the final getsuga tensho maybe using it would do more than just drain him of his powers which is why he didn't use it against Aizen.

Eh, current Ishida is far more stronger than the Ishida that faced Ichigo.

Also, what in the world is that thing in the last panel?

Pretty obvious but an okay watch I suppose.

👆 Nailed it.

One thing I never really understood is why people appeal to the general consensus. If a story -- or an arc -- is poorly written then you should be able to find flaws through reasoning based on literary standards.

I liked the Full-bring arc because it introduced new and interesting characters, and it added a new dimension to the setting with the animistic approach. It also made the nature Chad's powers interesting and unique, and it even covered what was previously thought to be a plot hole. Sadly, the ending of the arc was a bit rushed, and so we missed out on a lot of backstory.

While not as good as the Soul Society arc it was better than the Fake Karakura Town arc, and far better than the godforsaken Agent of the Shinigami arc.

Oh I liked the Fullbring arc too. In my humble opinion, it was the best Bleach has been since the early days. Not as good as Soul Society.

Of course I'm not sure what arc you're talking about when you say the Agent of the Shinigami arc. On Bleach wiki that is the first arc, which is really just a series of filler. But that "arc" was awesome.

The fullbring arc was an improvement over the decide chapter, though that's not saying much, but I can't really say I liked it. I did however like how the villain managed to break Ichigo down to a point where he actually needed someone else's help.

I did just think of something interesting concerning that arc: Couldn't Isshin had just stabbed Ichigo to restore his powers? I mean he has more than enough power to juice up Ichigo to some resemblence of his former power and since there related, shouldn't the process be smoother too?

Well when Rukia stabbed him, he sucked up all her power. Isshin wouldn't like that. And apparently, Isshin is keeping his identity secret from Soul Society.

This Bleach chapter was....interseting to say the least. Could've had better pacing but I did kind of like this chapter.

So....Orihime's low-tier reality warping is gimped even more.

Oh...and couldn't Isshin always used the sword Rukia used on Ichigo in order to prevent all his power from being drained?

Well, the sword as to be made and power has to be put into it. Who knows how long that could take for Isshin to add small amounts to the sword? Comparatively, SS giving the powers takes far less time.

Yea, almost all of the events were in the last few pages.

For a fabled rejection of all events it is rather pants, isn't it?
