Also, at that point in the series, none of the characters had shown the ability to fly, period. I don't think that came around until the SS arc ended.

They're not really flying though.

It first happen in the arrancar arc, with the visored, and the captain-lieutenant crew battling Grimmjow's henchmen if I recall correctly.

But before then we hadn't seen lieutenant- and captain level shinigami in the real world, aside for Renji and Byakuya, neither of which were active for long before departing.

1000 deaths in 7 minutes? Awesome. The Sternritters seem cool too, even though a couple are kinda goofy looking.

On flying, way back in the hospital, pre-soul society, Ichigo was able to do the skid-to-a-stop on 'air' thing.

How cute, Rukia wants to take out the giant pillars of dense reishi fire. Oh and Yamamoto isn't jerking off in a corner this time.

Good show though Kubo's style of making overly large panels is annoying in such a chapter. And I do think that Squad 1 is indeed the Grampa Patrol.

I mean nothing personal by it. Just that everyone that's mortally wounded should get the Sasakibe treatment.

Unless Ichigo can beat Kirge in time for fairy girl to heal everyone.

I've already come to terms that Kubo can't kill Toshiro.

Didn't Kubo explain that Kira's Bankai would be revealed and it would be very macabre? But that hit looked rather painful. Maybe Kubo changed his mind?

Also I laughed when the female Quincy was revealed, I don't know why it just seemed off.

yeah, and Toshiro is just too popular a character for Kubo to consider killing off, but he may go for characters not in the top ten of popularity to kill off to make up for it.

anyone else finding some of these new villains kinda funky looking? I mean one of them had a damn mohawk, another (the female) had a heart shaped buckle on her belt and the big guy vaguely reminded me of Yammy.

Tōshirō is the most appreciated character in the series. He's been placed #1 in all voting polls for most popular character in Bleach if I recall correctly. Besides, he's the reverse of Yamamoto, ice - fire, and the most likely to take over as captain commander in a few hundreds or thousands years.

Really annoyed at how Kubo just put pointless blow-ups of pictures w/o covering any material.

Going back to the fight with Kirge, why isn't Kisuke helping Ichigo out at all....I do remember him going to Hueco Mundo with Ichigo so where is he?

I actually think Kira is somewhere in the top 10 fav. characters. If that's the case then he's going to live....sadly 🙁

Seriously? I forgot he was even called Kira. I though Kira was that black haired guy with the face tatoo who became a captain. Top 10?
