I think last chapter, he said he felt uncomfortable fighting girls (and I can't recall him ever actually fighting a female opponent prior to those 4), but still would take them down nonetheless. though he failed on that attempt. you'd think a dual getstuga tenshou or whatever that move was would've killed that girl or at least KO her.

Pride-based tactics and attempted teamkilling.... I don't like it when villains get dumber like this. They're all idiots, squandering power.
I think something else is at play, here.
I think Papa-Quincy is going to make an appearance and offer. I believe he is going to show us that the Quincy are actually the good guys just trying to save the universe and that they Shinigami are the bad guys this whole time (dun dun dunnnn). But, the Shinigami will just say it is a trick. He'll make a good argument for the Quincy, too. There will be several flashbacks with several supporting points of fact for Papa-Quincy.
Tite Kubo does not try to troll me like Kishimoto does. So I think Kubo will follow through with the predicted direction.

Eh, well while I agree with you on that, Yhwach's current plan of action is more important than the nooks right now. Ichigo can't afford to beat them all down; it would take too long since Yhwach is not one to wait around.
No-no, a super-fast beat down. When he beat down all the Lieutenants when trying to rescue Rukia from execution, it happened almost in an instant. Kind of like when Trunks killed all the mooks when Mech-Frieza came to Earth.
That's what I'm saying Ichigo should do.
This is stupid. We all know Ichigo is stronger that these guys so why isn't he WTF pwning everyone? Also I like how out of all the people that showed up, Shinji wasn't one of them.
Furthermore, with a security flaw that massive on top of Ichigo getting to SS last, there better be a damn good explanation as to why he had to take the long way there.

Is there anything Kubo can do that will please any of you?
Yes, I listed it, already. 🙂
Instead of dragging out everything, actually progress the plot more quickly. One thing I like about Fairy Tail is, sometimes, the good guys get to WTF Curb Stomp some of the big bads. It is intermixed with many many chapters of beat downs and hard fights, though. You can't just make ALL of it Beat Downs and hard fights. You gotta through a bone to your protagonists so your readers go, "hahaha! Awesome! I like this character." Kubo did that with Ichigo and Byakuya a couple of times. He did it with Kenpachi, too. But he seems to forget about it, sometimes, and just drags EVERYTHING out.
